"Shh." Mac said as soldiers ran right past their hidings runs v yand mcng spots. They saw a locked door and moved towards it. Once they unlocked the door, they were engulfed in darkness. Jack took out his tactical flashlight and shone it around the room. There was blood everywhere and chains across the floor. But then he saw her.
"Laurie?" Jack asked as they broke into a building in Iraq. His eyes widened at her exterior. She was hanging partly from the ceiling, her wrists bloody and chafed. Her shirt was slightly whipped at the bottom and her pants were holy along the knees, but it was obvious it didn't come like that.
"Jack?" She whispered, her chapped and spilt lips not allowing much movement. Macgyver blinked and looked between the two.
"What did they do to you?" He whispered. Her eyes went wide.
"He'll, hurt you, Jack, please just go. he'll find you." She pleaded with him to leave.
"He? I ain't leaving you again, Laurie. Now way. How long have you been on the wall?" He asked her shocked that this was really happening.
"A couple of hours. I was bad. I'm being punished." She whispered helplessly.
"What did you do?"
"I'm sick, Jack. I've been sick for awhile."
Mac heard a rush of feet coming towards them and he nudged Jack.
"We gotta go." Jack shook his head.
"And what leave her?" He mumbled.
"No. Well be back once we shook them." He told them both and Jack did not look happy.
"Can't we at least get her down off the wall?"
"No. They'll notice we messed with her and could move her location. Come on, Jack, we gotta go." He said pulling his arm towards the door, he stayed rooted.
"Jack, go please. I'm fine. I'll distract Him. Please just go." She whimpered as the chain cut into her hand more.
He nodded. "I will be back."
She was going to tell him not to, but he was already gone, the blonde one leading the way.
The door broke in revealing a mess of soldiers. They were dazed by the way she looked and stopped momentarily. Then "he " broke in.
"Girl, where did they go?" She nodded to the opposite door of the one they went to.
"That way. They said they were going to try to sell something." She lied. He looked at her one last time then left.
Hours passed. Days turned into weeks, and she continued to stay in the same room she had been in for years.
———————————
"We have to go back, Madi!" He yelled at her in the war room. Weeks had gone by, since he as seen Laurie and it was killing him.
"No. We don't. Face it, Jack she probably didn't survive."
"She didn't look that bad." He insisted. But the last time he saw her flashed before his eyes and he imagined her off the chains and scared.

"Jack,-" Mac tried to tell him.
"Stop. I promised her. Again."
"What's your connection with her? Tell me and we will get her." Madi bargained.
He looked up at her, his eyes flashing in pain. "Don't."
He stuttered. "I- I- don't want to talk about it. Let's just go get her. Please?" He begged.
"Riley, look her up." Jack shook his head.
"Don't, Madi." He warned.
"Don't What, Jack? Find out who the heck this girl is before we risk our lives saving her? Sorry. Not happening."
Riley has it pulled up on the screen. Her file.
Madi read it out loud.
"Laurie Jackson.
Age. Unknown.
Department. Unknown.
Agency. Unknown.
Address. Unknown
Place of work. Unknown.
Relatives. Not specified."
"Well, that's pretty anonymous." Bozer commented.
Jack laughed bitterly. "Wow. So important."
"What are you hiding?" Madi asked him.
He shifted uncomfortably.
"What's that, right there?" Madi asked, looking at the screen.
"Riley, play those videos."
"I-uh."
"Do it."
Then the video played. A young Jack showed up. A very close to the screen Jack. "Laurie? Does the red light mean it's on?"
A laugh sounded in the background. The camera was gently pulled back revealing both of them. A very beautiful woman and a quite handsome Jack. Her black hair was straightened and her blue eyes shining bright.
"Yes, it does, Love." She said her voice laced in a British accent.
"Good." He said triumphantly.
"Come on, we gotta go find Riles."
The team looked at Jack and Riley both. "I don't remember her." Riley clarified.
"You were young. We baby sat you for a couple months. I left. Then I met you again when you were twelve."
The video continued to play, and someone squealed loudly. A little Riley ran up to Laurie and she scooped her up.
"Hey, baby doll."
Then Jack got a call in his phone, he juggled the camera and answered his phone.
"What's up?" He asked.
He sighed and the phone call ended. "Commander wants us back at base. New mission."
"Already?" She whined cradling Riley to her.
"Yeah, let's drop this little bug off at her moms again. Just tell her we have an family emergency." Jack filled her in, and he noticed the sad look in her eyes.
"We'll be back soon, Darlin. Riles won't even miss us will ya?" He poked her in the stomach and smiled at the way Riley laughed.
"Okay." She mumbled and carried Riley back to the car.
"Hey This is still recording, Laurie!" He said running after her.
"Push the red button, love."
Then the screen went dark.
"Jack, let's go find, Laurie." Madi told him.
"Finally." He muttered.
—————
"Pet." "He" called to her. "You must become well before tomorrow. Or we will kill you. Do you understand".
She nodded and took a deep breath, but as she did that the bile rose in her throat and she puked into the corner. He left her alone, too disgusted to look at her. She had been lowered off the wall and now had only a gain around her wrist on the solid floor.
Just when she thought she might be sick again a light opened. "He" never let light in.
The door creeped slightly, and the back door opened. The one to the outside world. In walked Jack Dalton.
"Laurie?" He cried when he saw her, huddled on the cold floor. Her clothes had torn more and were nothing more than holes.
He went to her and Mac undid the chains. She was still, her world spinning at the thought of light. He put his hand on her shoulder, his other one cupping her bruised face. He pulled himself away and wrapped a blanket around her, and scooped her up, which caused her much pain.
"J-a-ck? She asked stuttering.
"Yeah, darlin, It's me. Let's get you out of here."
He walked out the back door, Mac watching his back. They loaded him into the back of a truck and made a straight shot to the border, where they got on a plane. Laurie had fallen asleep, minutes into being with Jack. She had never felt so safe.
"Jack?" Mac asked sitting next to him on the private plane.
"Yeah?" He answered, holding Laurie close and tucking the blanket under her chin.
"So this is Laurie?"
"Yup. My little Laurie." He couldn't stop himself from saying. Mac smiled.
"How long were you together?"
"Never broke up. Or... divorced." He said looking up at Macs shocked face.
"You're Married?"
"15 years now."
"What happened?"
"She was kidnapped. We never found her." He said painfully. Laurie whimpered slightly and pulled his shirt, scooting closer to his chest. He ran a finger over her hairline.
"She's beautiful." Mac answered honestly. You could see the real her hidden under the layer of dirt and bruises.
"Please." She muttered in her sleep.
He held her tighter and she relaxed. Her face now officially buried into him. He sighed, his heart heavy.
As they landed the plane an ambulance was waiting on them. The paramedics tried to take her from him, but Jack wouldn't let them, when he saw her frightened expression. "Alright, y'all back up." They did this after the rest of the team helped.
Jack laid her on the stretcher and when he left her for a second to talk to them, she freaked. She sprang from her stretcher and grabbed anything she could think of to use as a weapon. A scalpel and a needle later, she was using the tools to fight off people who insisted they were helping.
"Leave me the **** alone." She screamed. Jack was at her aid a minute later.
"Laurie. Look at me. They want to make sure your not hurt."
"I ain't." She cried, but he knew this was a lie just to stop all the madness.
"Laurie. Come on." He helped her down from the top of the ambulance which she had somehow climbed onto. She took one look at his calming demeanor and decided to do this.
"Fine". She muttered and took his hand. He smiled when he grabbed her waist and lowered her down.
He helped her into the ambulance and they gave her a routine checkup inside as they drove to the hospital. The team followed behind in a car, aid sirens on.
"See not so bad." He told her as they checked her heart.
She glared and he laughed. "I'm mad at you." She muttered like a child.
"Oh. Now I did not notice that." He teased.
————————————
After she was put into the room and they declared her sort of okay, the visitors were allowed in. The team flooded in to see Jack asleep in the bed with Laurie. She was awake, but he was asleep hard and his body shook with every breath.
She looked at them in slight fear, but containing it fairly well. She slowly tapped Jacks shoulder. He rolled over and looked at the team.
"Hi, guys." He mumbled softly.
He sat up and introduced them.
"Guys, this is Laurie Jackson Dalton. Laurie, this is MacGyver, Bozer, Madi and Riley."
All looked surprised.
"Dalton?"
"Yup. This is my wife." He told them.
"Riley? Jack, our Riley?" She asked surprised, glancing at her then back at him.
"Yeah. Our Riley."
"Hi." Riley said waving her hand.
"Hi." She said back.
"You used to babysit me?"
"I did. You used to be a trouble maker." She laughed. "Had the cutest button nose and the prettiest eyelashes. You still do." She commented.
"I don't remember you. I'm sorry." Riley said honestly.
"I don't expect you to." She said unfazed. "You were young. I was young. And surprisingly he was too at one point." She said jabbing a finger at her husband.
They laughed slightly. "Well, come and give your god momma a hug, Riles." She teased holding out her hands. Riley, did however, hug her, because she could tell she meant a lot to the woman.
"Still the cutest girl I ever met. But I guess your all grown now." She smiled. "So I should say most beautiful woman I've ever seen."
Riley smiled back and the doctor walked in. "Miss Dalton?"
"What's up Doc?" She joked lightly.
——————
"Jack?" She said that night when they got back to his place.
"What's up, baby?" He asked wrapping his arms around her waist.
"I love you. Even after all this time. I think I love you more now."
"I love you too. I never stopped." He told her sweetly.

She forever had the scars of her years in torment. She still sheds tears of the horrible nights that she spent alone in a chamber. But Jack never left her. He'd call every minute he could, on any mission anywhere. He'd tell her he loved her before each call ended. And slowly she was transformed into the girl she once was.
