I placed my hand under my chin as I stared on my blank paper and a pen on the other hand and rocked it back and forth using my fingers.
May assignment lang naman kami na gumawa ng essay about something or someone.
Napatingin ulit ako sa phone ko for the nth time. It's been 3 days since Daniel left at hanggang ngayon hindi man lang siya nagtetext or tumawag.
Ganun ba siya ka busy?
Ang alam ko ay nandito lang sila sa Pilipinas. His father asked him to meet a business partner I guess. Daniel didn't told me everything and I think I do not have to know after all.
How was he? Nakakatulog ba siya ng maayos? Kumakain ba siya sa tamang oras? Sino kaya ang iba pa niyang kasama?
I shook and closed my eyes. Should I text him first? I opened my eyes and stared at my phone. No,no and no. Dapat siya ang unang magtext at hindi ako. I sighed as I stood up and walked towards my bed.
It would be a very long night again.

“So kamusta? Nagparamdam na ba?” tanong ni Pau at umiling ako. I know she's talking about Daniel.
Kinuha ko ang bottled water saka uminom. Nakangising tumitig sa akin si Pau.
“What?”
“Wala,” she grinned, “Parang ang lungkot kase ng aura mo, miss mo na noh?”
My eyebrows creased as I stared back at Pauline na hanggang ngayon ay nakangiti pa rin. I could feel the blood rushed up to my cheeks making it red.
“I'm not,” I said firmly, trying to ignore her mocking smiles.
“Come on bes, there's no way you could deny it.”
“Okay, whatever make you happy.”
I rolled my eyes na ikinatawa lang niya pero bigla siyang napatigil. Sinundan ko yung tingin niya kaya lumingon ako sa likod ko.
“Diba si James 'yan?” Pau asked without me looking at her but on the guy outside the canteen.
He's talking to an unknown guy while some group of girls were fantasizing him. Maski yung mga babaeng nasa loob ng canteen malapit sa may glass wall ay napapalingon sa labas.
Geez. They always had that dreamy look.
“Naku bes, careful ka sa James na 'yan baka sisiraan ka na naman ng impaktang si Venus dahil wala si Daniel,” Pau said at pareho kaming napatigil, “Wait--- saan na pala ang bruhang 'yon at hindi nagpaparamdam?” she added.
I shared the same expression and question with Pau. Simula nung umalis si Daniel ay hindi ko na rin nakita si Venus. Coincidence lang ba or ---
Napatigil ako sa pag-iisip nang biglang umingay sa loob ng canteen.
