"What do you think about this?" I held the camera up to the mirror so Caspar could see my outfit. We were on a video chat because I couldn't decide on the most heterosexual clothing to wear.

"I think that you should take it all off and then show me," he grinned.

"I will hang up on you."

"You look great, baby. I'm just playing around. Though, I wouldn't complain if you did take it off."

"Perv."

"You love me," he laughed. My eyes rolled instead of agreeing. It was a little too soon for that. "The bow tie isn't straight."

"Well, neither am I." I fixed it nonetheless.

"What time did your parents leave?"

"What? They're downstairs."

"Teddy Martin, are you blatantly flirting with me while your parents are just downstairs?" He smirked, but I could see the insecurity that flashed in his eyes.

"I guess I am."

"Theodore!" My mother's voice carried from downstairs. "We should be going!"

"Yes, Mother!" I looked back to my phone screen, a sigh on my lips.

"Hey, I'll text you. It'll be like I'm there."

"You'd better."

I ended the call and grabbed my jacket before heading downstairs. My parents were already in the car, so I locked up and climbed in the back.

Caspar: See? I'm right here.

Teddy: Yeah. Sure.

Caspar: I can FEEL you pouting. Cut it out.

Teddy: I thought my pouting was cute?

Caspar: Exactly. What good is it if I'm not there to kiss it away?

Teddy: They're going to try to find me a girlfriend, Caspar.

Caspar: I'll fight them. And her.

Teddy: Don't fight anyone.

How close I lived to the church was yet another downside to being the preacher's son. We were there in no time, so I had very little opportunity to text my boyfriend. My boyfriend. I grinned to myself. I was forced into minimal social interactions, the usual small talk that I had become so accustomed to. My parents went off to perform their adult duties and left me in a pew in the back. I cautiously took out my phone.

Teddy: I've been here for 5 minutes and I already crave death.

Caspar: Met any cute girls, yet?

Teddy: I'm actually already married to one of them.

Caspar: You're dead to me.

Teddy: Do I sound too needy f I say that I miss you? It's only been like 4 hours.

Caspar: Nah. I think it's cute.

"Texting someone special?" I heard a girl beside me.

"Huh?" I looked at her. I vaguely recognized her from several church gatherings. She was attractive, I guess. Blonde with blue eyes and soft features.

"Your parents told me to pop over to you for a marriage proposal, although you already seem to have your hands full." She didn't want to be there any more than I did and that was...refreshing, to say the least. "So who's the lucky girl?"

"Uh...."

"Lucky guy?"
