Hold Your Breath- Chase Atlantic

"You guys have to come," Ari whined. The girls were trying to convince us to go to some kid's New Years party. I would've rather died than gone, but I could tell that Cass was slipping. I wasn't surprised when he turned to me, his eyes pleading.

"Let's go," he took my hands in his.

"I don't know, Cass. It's not really my scene."

"Please? We'll take our own car so we can leave whenever."

I sighed, knowing that he was too stubborn to give up on this. "Fine. On one condition."

"Anything."

"No drinking." He got extremely out of control when drunk and I really didn't want to deal with it.

"Done." He grinned, kissing my hand. "Promise."

The house the party was in was actually pretty nice, and I applauded the owner for putting up all his things to be destroyed. Naturally, Ari and April found themselves at the bar as soon as we were inside. It honestly didn't take long for basically everyone to get hammered. It also didn't take long for some guy, who was probably in his twenties, to come up behind me and put an arm around my waist.

"You're pretty," he slurred. I never understood why guys called me pretty. Pretty was a generally feminine word, but I guess the closest thing to 'feminine' is a gay man, aka me.

"Thanks," I pulled out of his grasp, subconsciously moving closer to my boyfriend. He followed me.

"You should," he hiccuped, "come home with me."

"I'd honestly rather die," I turned to him. "I really don't like the taste of beer."

"Well, do you like the taste of my-."

"Nope!" Cass had had enough. "Hands off. He's mine."

"Can't you share the twink?" The man chuckled. Cass's eyes went dark.

"I really don't like sharing." My boyfriend took my arm and pulled me up the other side of the room. "You were right. We shouldn't be here."

"You jealous?" I smirked.

"Obviously," he growled.

"You're getting out of control and you haven't even touched the alcohol," I laughed, kissing his cheek. "There's no need to be jealous, love. That guy was gross."

"Speaking of gross," he chuckled, motioning to Ari and April, who were making out against the wall. "We should get them home."
