Heaven- Troye Sivan
"So," Jackson and Mom sat across from me in the living room. "Dad's in jail."
"...yep...." I tensed. I still wasn't sure of how he was feeling about all of this.
"I know it needed to happen, it's just...gonna take some time for us to deal with it." Mom said.
"You two should stay here for a while. We'd love to have you and we definitely have the room."
"Oh, we wouldn't want to intrude on Christopher's family," Mom winced.
"It's our family, now. And we'd all really like for you to stay with us. There is one thing, though," I paused trying to figure out how to phrase it. "Cass and I...we don't hold back here. This is our home, and we're not going to act like we're something we're not."
"I can handle it, Teddy. I'm trying my best to."
"Okay. The others are in their rooms, so it'll be easy to tell which rooms aren't up for grabs." I led them upstairs, but disappeared into my room once I got there.
"Did they take the offer?" Cass asked without looking up at me.
"Yeah. You're sure you guys are okay with this?"
He paused his game, then, coming over to me. "Baby, we've talked about it a million times." He kissed me. "We're okay with it."
"Okay, okay, sorry, I'm just," I paused when he started trailing kisses down my neck. "...nervous."
"About?" He pulled my shirt off.
"Well, I just," I continued as he backed me against the wall. "I don't want anything to go wrong."
"Hey," he looked up from his position against my collarbone. "As long as we're not sharing a wall with them, we're fine. And those rooms aren't bedrooms. So we're cool. Now, I'm kind of trying to do something here."
"Right. Sorry," I pulled him back up and kissed him. "Right."
He sighed, cupping my face in his hands. "You know you can always talk to me, baby."
I groaned. "Don't make me."
"Teddy."
Mrs. David invited us to her church tomorrow."
"Oh?" He rocked back on his heels.
"I'm scared to go. I'd rather not repeat...my entire life."
"I'm sure she wouldn't be in or put you in a homophobic church."
"You'll come with me?"
"Yeah. Who knows, maybe we'll end up getting to go to heaven after all," he laughed, kissing my cheek.
I wasn't sure about getting to go to heaven, but that was okay, because as far as I was concerned, standing here in his arms was as much heaven as I'd ever need.
A/N- So, it's over. I had a really great time writing this and I loved all the support that I got for it. I really hope you enjoyed reading and that we all learned something. Remember to always be yourself. Stay safe. Love you ❤️.
