I Only Lie When I Love You- Royal Blood

Cass POV

His expression grew confused when he saw me walking towards him.

"Caspar, what are you-?" He stopped when I grabbed his arm and pulled him into a Sunday school classroom.

"This'll be easier without Teddy here." I was talking more to myself than to him, trying to convince myself that I should be here. I could've just forgiven him there. Forgiven him like I always had and convinced myself that everything was my fault. I could've fallen back into the ease of his control and stayed there until he really killed me. But I didn't. I couldn't have. No one with any sense about them would be with someone like him, especially when they already had someone like Teddy. I know that Grey tried. I think that Grey tried, at least. He wasn't always the way he acted when we were together. I mean, he couldn't have always been that way, or I wouldn't have have fallen in-...never mind. But, Teddy.... My boyfriend was the best boyfriend in the entire existence of everything. And that was just a fact. "I...."

"Caspar?" He rested a hand on my waist and pulled me into his chest.

"No. You can't do that anymore." I couldn't will myself to step away.

"Then why haven't you moved?" I finally came to my senses as his hand ran over my spine.

"No! Nope! You can't. I can try to forgive you, that's why I brought you in here in the first place, but...you.... You grew up with Teddy, right?"

"Yep."

"He was your best friend, right?"

"Yeah."

"So, how can you stand here and try to...? I'm his now, Grey. You can't have me anymore. I don't want you to have me anymore. I'm Teddy's. And he's mine. We weren't healthy, Grey. We weren't safe and we weren't consensual."

"We weren't...consensual...?" I hated how confused he looked.

"There was so much you forced me into, Grey. You know that. You have to know that."

"I...." he sat down. "Shit."

"I've gotta go. Teddy's probably worried."

I tensed when he grabbed my wrist. "Don't let him him treat you like I did."

"He doesn't. He won't. I won't."

The church was nearly empty when I walked out of the room. Teddy was the only one left inside, and he was hunched over in a pew in the front. I sat down beside him, resting my head on his shoulder. His arm slung over my shoulder and he kissed my forehead. Neither of us said anything, just sat for a few minutes before joining our family outside. I was confused as to why his parents, and Jackson, hadn't stayed until the last person left, considering that they operated the church. I got my answer soon enough.

"Well," Teddy sighed, sitting up and removing his head from my lap. "Once you left, the great Richard and Belle Martin decided to grace me with their presence."

"That's never a good sign."

"They applauded me for leaving you, as they assumed you weren't there, and for returning to the church. Once Jack and I explained that you were just in the other room, they got angry again and tried to banish me back to hell. Then, April instinctively called Ari 'babe' and her parents did the same. Fauna looked really confused and really sad."

"I shouldn't have left you."

"How'd it go?"

"Good, I think."

"Good," he leaned over and kissed me, sliding his hand into my hair. His phone started ringing. He started to pull back.

"Ignore it."

"Cass, it might be Jack," he checked, smirking when he was right. "Told you. Yeah, Jack?" I couldn't read my boyfriend's expression, which was never a good sign. "Oh. Okay. Yeah. Th-thanks, Jack. See you."

"Something wrong?"

"I don't know."

"What do you mean? What happened?"

"My parents were in a wreck."

A/N: I had to change the chapter because I couldn't bring myself to go through with it.
