Old Eden- Honeywater
I scowled at the "Welcome Back" banner draped across the entrance to the main building of the school. I definitely didn't feel welcomed back. The only reason anyone ever wants to go back to school is to see their friends, but that's kind of nullified when you live with your friends. I'd grown so accustomed to sleeping in and lazy kisses over the past few weeks, that I was seemingly suffering from jet lag as I trudged to class. The only thing to keep me from passing out on the way was my boyfriend's arm around my waist. Of course, once he dropped me off at Gov, I did nearly collapse. I would've if the teacher hadn't caught me.
"I need to take him to the nurse. Behave."
He led me to the nurse's office, setting me down in a chair. I felt so lightheaded. I had no clue what was going on. I was fine. Just tired.
"I need to call your parents. I need their number," the nurse looked to me. I sat up quickly, shaking my head.
"He lives with Chris Donovan, Connie. Just call up to his room."
She hesitated, but called to his room on the next floor. Chris showed up in a matter of minutes, followed by Cass and Ari.
"What's going on?" Chris demanded.
"We don't know," my Gov teacher, Mr. Jacobs, responded. "He just...collapsed."
My boyfriend punched the wall, cursing. "I knew I shouldn't have left him."
"I'm sure he's fine. I'll get him home. I'll get him some food and water and put him to bed."
"Dad, you have classes to teach. I'll take him home."
Chris was reluctant. "Fine. Be careful. Call me if anything happens."
My boyfriend picked me up in his arms and carried me, bridal style, out of the school.
