Jason POV~ "Have you met us?"

Piper was wrapped in my embrace, her head on my shoulder. We were soundly asleep in the Zeus Cabin. The nightmares never seemed to come when we were with each other. I was awoken by my door banging open.

"Grace!" Yelled a deep voice. "Aww, and Beauty Queen, wake up!"

I rolled off the bed with a start. My body was aching, as I looked towards a laughing Percy in the doorframe. Piper fluttered her eye lids open.

"Five more minutes." She grumbled, rolling into the pillow.

"Get up!" Percy said in a steely clam voice, "monsters are invading the camp."

That's all it took for me to jump up. I sat up and grabbed the Imperial Gold Gladius that Juno gave me off of my bedside table. Piper had Katoptris in her hand. I had offered a regular celestial bronze sword to her after the war. But she told me that the dagger was special to her; now it was her weapon of choice.

"Nico came and got me and Annabeth from my Cabin." Percy blushed furiously at that statement. "Apparently he was out with Sunshine Boy in the middle of the night in the woods, when an army of assorted monsters came out of nowhere."

"Wait, Nico was out with Will?" I asked, totally taken aback by this statement.

"Unsurprisingly that's what everyone responded with. No one asked 'Hey Percy, how many monsters are we up against,' or 'There are monsters invading camp!?' But yeah, Death Breath and Sunshine Boy are now a thing."

"Called it." Stated Piper, looking triumphant.

"Okay then." I said. I was sad that Nico didn't trust me enough to tell me.

     "So, in other news monsters some how got into Camp and we need all the help we can get." Percy said, "Nico also shadow traveled to Camp Jupiter to give the news to Reyna, and get backup. The news we received wasn't good. Apparently New Rome is under attack as well."

     "Can't we ever get a break." Groaned Piper.

     "Have you met us?" Percy asked.

     "True." I finished.

     I took Piper's hand as we bolted out of the door. Piper gasped. The sight that welcomed us wasn't a pleasant one. It was horrifying; reminding me of the war. There were golden flames emerging from the Cabins. Dark smoke was fogging up the sky, the moon was barley visible to the naked eye. Campers were outside wearing their pajamas, with hastily fastened armor on their bodies. Several kids were being rushed to the infirmary. The monster count was overwhelming. If it kept up like this, Greece would be only a myth by dawn.

"Are these all the Campers?" Asked Piper.

"Yup." Sighed Percy.

"Well, let's get going then." I stated.

What happened next was a frenzy. Percy ran off to help Annabeth with an Empousa. They fought together slashing and stabbing like a well oiled machine. At that moment a Gorgon came charging at Piper and I.

"Ready?" I asked her.

She turned to me, her kaleidoscope eyes filled with confidence and love.

"Ready when you are Sparky." She winked.

We sprang at the foul-smelling creature. In seconds I sliced its head off cleanly, while Piper stabbed at its legs. The cold, stillness of battle over took my body. My adrenaline kicked in. We kept moving, helping out the younger, inexperienced campers. Soon, I lost count of the amount of monsters we faced. There were Hellhounds, Hydras, a swarm of Myrmekes, and I'm pretty sure I saw Percy taunting what seemed to be Echidna. He was referencing a Chihuahua? It was all very confusing. In all the chaos I lost Piper. I was caught off guard when I felt a talon scraping my shoulder. I whipped around to see a trio of Scythian Dracanae.

"We meet again Ssssson of Jupiter." The middle one hissed.

"Oh I remember you guys," I started mockingly, "I killed you uglies on my way to vanquish the Titan Lord on Mount Othrys!"

"You will pay!" Screeched the one on the left.

They slithered towards me. I stabbed the fist one right through the heart, and it fell to golden dust. Then, I sliced off the second one's legs (there were around six). The blood spewed on my face, as it turned to golden dust. The last one turned to leave, but I stabbed my sword right through its green flesh.

"See ya." I said, as the last turned to dust.

Right at that moment all the monsters left. They turned right into thin air. Then, I heard the most gruesome scream ever.

"ANNABETH!" Screamed Percy.

I turned around, a full 360 and couldn't see or hear Piper. I was looking for her breathtaking smile in the remaining faces of Campers.

This can't be happening.

"HAZEL!" Screamed Frank, as he fell to his knees a few feet away from me.

"PIPER!?" I shouted my heart was aching like hell. "DI' IMMORTALES WHY?"

I slid to my knees slowly. My eyes were filling up quickly. First Leo now Piper! What did I ever do to deserve this? The fates were never on our side. My Piper, my whole world was gone.
