My mouth was dry as I heard Percy propose. He put a unique sensation in my heart. Love. I couldn't quite shake the shock of what just happened. There were tears of joy in my eyes. I was currently thinking about the one thing that might stop me.
I'm too young.
But am I really though? I'm a demigod. Seventeen seemed like the perfect age.
Then I started thinking about everything that Percy said, which brought a smile to my face. He was too sweet for his own good. He organized this whole thing for me, and took my breath away. He was the only one who could do that. He was the only one who could confuse me. He was the only one who could make me feel warm inside on a cold day. He was the only one for me. Period.
So I smiled, "yes. A million times, yes."
He jumped up, and fist pumped.
"You're sure right?" He asked with a brutally honest tone.
"I've never been more sure in my seventeen years." I laughed.
He took out the ring from inside the box. It was simple, yet extravagant, and it took my breath away. There were two silver bands intertwined. Two beautiful rhinestones decorated the area around the centerpiece. That piece was a pristine pearl. It shined bright in the moonlight. On the back of the ring Wise Girl was engraved with a heart next to it. He slipped the ring onto my finger. I looked into his beautiful sea green eyes as we simultaneously leaned in. I closed my eyes with tears of joy in them. Our lips touched and sparks flew. I winded my hands in his hair as his hands gripped my waist. Then, I heard clapping and wolf whistles. I quickly pulled away; my cheeks were heated.
"Wow you guys." I wiped the tears from my eyes, as I saw everyone emerge from their hiding spots.
"I told you people to go away." Percy was bright red.
"And I told everyone to wake up for this." Leo laughed.
"Valdez I swear-" Percy started towards Leo.
"Percy it's fine." I held him back as I laughed.
"This was the most sweetest thing ever." Sam smiled.
"Agreed." Said Zia.
"Congrats on not getting rejected Percy." Jason smiled.
"Wait a minute." Magnus started. "I just realized something. We're related now."
"Bros!" Percy smiled.
"Bros!" Magnus replied.
They both hugged each other as a new bromance formed.
"Jeez, it's like they're the ones getting married." Sadie laughed as they pulled away.
Percy came over and slung an arm around my shoulders. "It's a bonus."
I kicked him in the shin.
"What was that for?" He hugged his leg.
"You're such a Seaweed Brain." I shook my head while laughing.
He stuck his tongue at me as the happy mood suddenly broke.
"Congratulations to the new married couple!" Boomed Loki as a large screen appeared
"Couldn't you have waited until tomorrow or something?" Percy started. "We're really not in the mood for one of your boring strings of dialogue."
"Well, since you're 'not in the mood' I guess we won't explain anything." Sneered Seth as the screen with the Legion on it vanished.
Next to us a cylindrical stone solidified our if thin air. On top of the surface there were four pronounced engravings. One was in the shape of a warped cone, the second looked like a jagged triangle, the third looked like a feather, and the fourth looked like a cone. The stone was a tan color with flicks of metallic material in it.
"Great going Aqua Man." Sighed Leo.
"Sorry guys." Percy said sheepishly.
"It's alright we can figure this out without their help. Honestly, they'd probably lie anyway." Replied Reyna.
"True." Added Nico, "so what is it?"
"It's a stone." Said Magnus.
"Well, duh." Nico rolled his eyes, "I mean what do we do with it?"
"I have no idea." Said Percy.
And neither did I.
