"Nico used his jacket, and it didn't touch anybody." Annabeth said to herself.

"So, all we need is something to hold the Wolfsbane." I contemplated.

I looked around. We were surrounded by bushes, and trees. That's when it hit me.

"Leaves!" I exclaimed. "We can use those leaves to carry it. They're about the size of our hands, so we can use them as gloves."

I collected a pile of the green beauties, as Percy started to talk.

"How can you be sure it won't seep through, or burn through?"

"It's worth a try." I shrugged.

I took one leaf off of the pile and wrapped it around a stalk of Wolfsbane, and I quickly removed my hand as soon as I finished, fearing for the worst.

"Huh." Sadie said after five minutes as she stared at the bundle. "It looks fine."

"Let's do it." Annabeth shrugged.

Everyone grabbed two leaves. I took the stalk that was already bundled and jogged  towards the Fox.

"LEO! HOLD THAT THING STILL!" I yelled up to him.

"KINDA HARD TO DO RIGHT NOW BEAUTY QUEEN!" He called down.

     "Sorry." I realized.

The Teumessian Fox was galloping in place while trying its best to shake Leo off. Everyone looked towards our odd looking bundles, and I could see that they sensed a plan. Jason looked at me and immediately got the memo.

"Guys! Hold it down!" He yelled.

"How?" Zia yelled back.

"Try throwing your weight on to it!" Jason yelled.

"Um no thanks." Stated Blitz with his arms crossed.

"Oh come on!" Sadie started. "Get off your high horse!"

"Fine." He rolled his eyes.

Everyone tried to jump on the Fox. It was quite a weird sight to be witnessing. I jogged towards the mass of people on the barely moving shape. It struggled to get up, but it was still held down by all the weight. I didn't know how ten teenagers managed to hold down that thing. It must've been all the muscle mass.

"I got one!" Annabeth exclaimed as I kneeled down in front of its front right paw.

"Mine is done!" Sadie yelled.

I diligently tied the stalk around its ankle using the leaves on my hands. As soon as it touched the skin of it a sizzling sound resonated, and I winced.

"The Wolfsbane is on over here!" I exclaimed.

"This thing isn't cooperating!" Percy angrily said.

Annabeth came up from behind him, and grabbed the bundle. She gracefully tied it on its ankle.

"I had it!" Percy looked up at her.

"Sure you did." Annabeth said with a knowing smile.

Everyone, including Leo, climbed off of the Fox. Nico struck the top of its tooth with his Stygian Iron blade as the tooth got knocked out of the beast's mouth. Its eyes were closed, and it was visibly in pain.

"We got the tooth, what do we do now?" Asked Carter.

"It's in pain." Calypso voiced my thoughts.

"I don't think it would be safe to unwrap the Wolfsbane." Annabeth puzzled, "but we should end its suffering."

She stabbed it at an angle through the bottom of its body so that the dagger would go right through its heart. The Fox disintegrated into golden dust, as the Dog walked off into the brush.

"Now what?" Leo broke the silence.

"We put this thing into the stone and hope that it'll help us off the island." Carter answered.

"Hope is a terrible concept." Said Calypso in a knowing voice.

"Well, right now it's all we have." I sighed.
