A/N: Sorry it's been such a long time, but I'm back, so on with the story!

Magnus is concussed. The whole group was crushed (literally). I thrust up and killed the little demon (that last part doesn't rhyme, but whatever).

"How many fingers?" Hazel asked Magnus while holding up her pointer finger.

     Magnus squinted his eyes, "five?"

      "Great." I rolled my eyes.

"Was it not five?" He asked in a slurred tone.

"Not even close." I bluntly answered.

He fell back from where he was sitting and closed his eyes. His golden locks shined in the sun, and his shirt clung to his hard body.

"Magnus, can you walk?" Asked Hazel.

"I wouldn't bet on it." He started to get on his feet.

When he finally stood up, he wobbled a little. I took a step towards him and held his hand in mine to provide some support.

"Thanks." His smile suddenly made my body temperature go up ten degrees.

I looked into his gray eyes. They hid so much about him. In general, Magnus has a warm, sunny aura that surrounds him, but I could see the emptiness and pain hidden in those eyes. Those beautiful eyes. So complex, and so deep. Like a gray ocean that stretches on forever.

Frank cleared her throat, "so clearly he can stand."

I yanked my hand away and suddenly became interested in the ground.

I ran a hand through my hair, "let's go then."

"Good idea." Magnus looked straight ahead with a tomato-red face.

"I can't wait to tell Piper." Hazel smiled mischievously at the two of us.

"And we're off." Magnus started walking away very unsteadily with Hazel and Frank's laughter following him.

"Stop laughing or we'll be eaten by Trolls." I stomped away.

After many hours of getting lost, and yelling (mostly at Magnus) we arrived at the beach. The others weren't back yet (keyword yet, they aren't dying on my watch), so we decided to retire for the night. I was laying next to where Magnus was sitting on the soft sand, and Frank and Hazel were off somewhere else "talking." Like anyone believes that.

"So, what do you think they're talking about?" I heard Magnus say.

"Stuff," I replied with my eyes shut.

      "Huh." He said.

Suddenly I felt a warm touch on my forehead. This was something I'd never felt in my life, but I knew what it was immediately. His hair lightly brushed my face, as I heard him lean back into the sand. Magnus Chase had just kissed me.

"Goodnight Alex." His voice rang out over the sound of the waves crashing against the shore.

"Goodnight Magnus," I said with a smile on my face.

Soon after that I drifted off into what I'd hope would be a peaceful sleep, but they'd never let me have that.

I was on a hill above strawberry fields, and a whole bunch of kids running around hectically. One girl dressed in green with brown hair and freckles ran by me.

"Chiron! The border isn't strong enough to hold them all back. Thalia's tree cannot block the Egyptian, and Norse monsters." She panted.

"That's bad news Katie. Drag the campers that are watching the Games away from that wretched Archimedes Sphere, and get them ready for battle. I have some calls to make." A  man with half of his body human, and half horse.

"Should I send for help from New Rome?" She asked.

"They have their own horde to handle." The man named Chiron said.

"Oh no." She had a look of horror on her face, "and the Hunters of Artemis?"

"There are attacks popping up everywhere. They need to keep the mortals ignorant and safe." Chiron stated.

"I wish Annabeth, Percy, and the rest of them were here right now." Katie sighed.

"Don't we all. These Games must've all been a diversion to keep them away from the real threat." Chiron gestured. "Now go and wake up Clarisse since she's probably slept through all of this."

"I hate it when I have to do that." Katie said.

      The scene shifted.

Now I was looking at a posh living room, with gold eye engravings. I recognized them from my pottery classes; those were hieroglyphics. A tall man with a barrel-shaped build and big trench coat was talking to a blonde haired girl with blue eyes.

"I know, but what can we do?" Asked the girl.

"Jaz, we need to fight. There are three-hundred and sixty nomes, and every single one of them are being attacked right now-"

"Even the three-hundred sixty-th Nome in Antartica?" She cut in.

"Yes, even that one." He said in an exasperated tone. "This is a widespread threat and we need to go now."

"Amos you know something else don't you?" She looked skeptically at him.

"Now's not the time. Go call everyone down, and we'll leave for the First Nome to get our assignments." He stated.

"Fine, I'll leave it alone for now."

She turned and ran as the scene shifted.

I was now in the place that I'd grown to call home.

"WE'RE ALL GOING TO DIE!" Someone shouted.

      Yup, this was home alright.

"Shut up Helgi. When it comes down to it you really will be the first one to die." I heard the familiar tone of Mallory Keen. "Idiot."

That shut him up, and I could see Hunding laughing quietly after Mallory's comments.

"We can't really die anyway." Said Halfborn Gunderson. "I mean we already are dead."

      Mallory facepalmed.

I heard a scream, and with a start, I woke up.
