The one thing that was on my mind was Annabeth. She's here with me, and I thank the gods for this miracle, (even though they probably weren't the ones who made this happen) but hey! I don't want to be zapped on the spot by You-Know-Who (and I don't mean Voldemort). Why couldn't they ever give us peace? The Fates are cruel. Annabeth and I have been through so much, and it never seems to end. But we stay strong together, I don't know what I'd do if she—
No.
It sucked. We were going to go to New Rome together and settle down. I want to build something permanent with her. The big question bothered me in the back of my mind. I wanted to ask her soon, because only the Fates know how long we have.
We sat down on the soft grass, wondering what to do next.
"So how did you end up here?" She asked.
"It's a long story." I sighed.
"I have time." She replied.
"So basically after the girls of the prophecy of the seven plus Reyna were taken by that hoard of monsters the guys were in rage. We had no idea what to do next until Leo Valdez showed up."
"Leo?"
"Yeah, as it turns out, he's alive."
"Wow." Annabeth put her face in her hands, her elbows on her knees.
"Any-who, he came to us with a message from Ogyia."
"Calypso's island?" Annabeth questioned, with distaste.
Was that jealousy I just heard?
"Yes, and apparently the phrase 'Let The Games Begin' was burned into the island. We had a meeting in the Big House with all the head counselors to talk about the recent developments when Carter Kane, Walt Stone, Magnus Chase, Blitzen and Hearthstone showed up. Out of thin air! Then the Legion of Doom aka Loki from the Norse World, Seth from the Egyptian World, and Khaos the god from the Greek-Roman world called us on an Archimedes Sphere. Which came in an Amazon Box. That was creepy. Then, the Legion told us who was going to participate in the 'Games.' They gave us a riddle to solve in order to help save you guys. 'The key to unlocking the girls from their thoughts is to find the most knowledgeable. Who is ahead in the Game. Find this and they shall be freed.' We talked together and realized that it was Mímir, a god from the Norse World, who we had to find. After that, we went to see Rachel for some insight, and found out that she knew all about the other worlds ever since Pan gave her that gift thing. And she went all Oracle of Delphi on us and delivered a prophecy. 'Once the Games begin Khaos will wreak its havoc across all four plains. Diversity will be diminished to overcome this threat, for all shall merge together to become one. The immortals will be consumed with hatred as they begin to divide. One, two, or maybe three of the seventeen will take their final breath by the hands of Evil or Love. As the end comes near it will all come down to the Sword, Gladius, Khopesh, and Pen."
Annabeth was still looking at the grass. She was probably processing all of this stuff in her Athenian Brain.
"That just took first place for most disturbing prophecy." I started again. "Which is pretty hard to do in Percy Jackson's book."
"You're such a Seaweed Brain." She sighed.
"And you're such a—" I began to think. "One day I'll have a good comeback, just you wait Annabeth Chase."
She laughed. Her laugh was musical.
"So then, Rachel told us that he was 'set in stone' in an Egyptian town. We flew over there on Festus, and arrived within hours. Carter pulled an Archimedes and told us what to do. No idea how. I moved the water of the Nile, and we walked into a Room, with inscriptions in all of our ancient languages. We found Mímir, bad news he's a bad guy. Last thing I remember is being teleported or something, to this place." I finished, taking a breath.
Annabeth still didn't say anything for a while.
"Who were the people they called for the Games?" She asked, not lifting her head.
"Magnus, Samirah al-Abbas, Alex Fierro, Blitzen, Hearthstone, Carter, Zia Rashid, Sadie, Walt Stone, Sparky, Beauty Queen, Repair Boy, Calypso, Death Breath, Reyna, you, and me of course." I replied.
"I was right!" She exclaimed. Annabeth stood up, and began to pace.
"There's a lot of things that fall under that category, I'm going to need some clarification." I added.
"You heard Sadie right?" She asked.
"When?" I puzzled.
"Just now, she screamed before the screen went black." Annabeth replied.
"Oh, yeah." I realized.
"That must mean that the others are here too!" She smiled.
Slowly, understanding filled my brain.
"That means we have to find them." I finished.
