Fate is a funny little thing , isn't it ? How everything is already planned and bound to happen even before your existence , how every single little detail is mapped just so you can have your own unique moment. In this world , everyone is already attached by birth to their own respective partner , it's just a matter of time on when and where they find them. Amazing , isn't it ? How a small timer attached on the wrist could tell you who your life long partner is ?

It's actually pretty ridiculous , now that you think about it. It could lead to so many errors ! But .. that wasn't the case for this one particular person. When his timer reached to zero , he had the most magical moment in his life mainly because of the fireworks being shot to adorn the night sky and no , it's not a figment of his imagination , it was literal fireworks blasting off !

[ Kim Seokjin , 364d ];

Kim Seokjin looked at the small timer on his wrist and it read :

364 d 12 h 02 m 43 s

It's been counting down and the brunette's actually getting anxious. At first he thought that it was counting down to his death , frantically making a wish list and shoving it to his parents , only to receive booming laughters and a few words on how he was foolish. "Seokjin-ah , when this timer reaches zero , you'll meet the one you'll spend your entire life with , just like how mommy and daddy are right now !"

It was a huge relief until he grew into his teens when he became a hopeless romantic ,"ugh , but how can I even love someone I literally just met ??" He spat , flipping the page of his novel gently ,"like I know it happens in fiction but in real life ?? That's seriously unbelievable ! Unbeliebubble !!"

"You're a hypocrite , I wish you can hear and see yourself right now." Yoongi replied , pencil still in hand as he wrote down notes.

A few snickers were let out by his friend , Namjoon who had a book in his hands as well ,"it's fate , I know it sounds crazy but I'm really excited for my timer to reach zero. And talk about yourself , would you really have those romantic scenes in reality ? You're hopeless !"

"A man can dream , Joon." The brunette sighed and wedged a bookmark in before sitting up straight , eyes still on his wrist. During his teenage years his heart did beat for someone else but it felt strange , he felt guilty in a sense because he already had his lover somewhere out there. Fast-forwarding to his current state at the age of 20 , he finally moved in to the big city with his friends along with a new member , Hoseok that they met during their last year of high school. The bunch attended the same college and Seokjin noticed his timer malfunctioning a few times , sometimes turning to zero and sometimes just being minutes away whenever he was strolling around the campus. It made his heart race but no one around him had the same expression he has and he's too embarrassed to ask , but surely fate had something more romantic than that ?

Slumping on the couch with a grunt , he swooped his hair back and heard a sigh ,"Hoseok ??"The brunette asked out loud and received cackles from the redhead ,"how'd you know ??"

"I've heard you sigh enough for me to recognize , fool."

"So what's up with you ?" The dancer inquired , a sprite in hand. "Same old , same old , my timer keeps going to zero randomly and it's making me worried."

"Dude ! That means you've walked past your lover at some point ! But it's probably not meant to be just yet. Hey , I'm coming back late since I have practice , wanna join me for dinner tho ? It's just Jimin and I !" The redhead invited and strangely enough , Seokjin's body reacted to his friend saying Jimin's name. His heart began to beat faster and his cheeks were starting to feel warm but he still feel guilty because after all , he was hypothetically already attached. Snapping out of his daze ,"uhh .. I don't know , text me later ?"
