Barging into the hospital room looking as haggard as ever, Lucy immediately rushed to Lauren's bedside.
"What the fuck, Jauregui! You said you were gonna go on a trip. You didn't mention anything about hospitals!" The Colombian huffed at the raven-haired girl, worry plastered all over her face the moment she saw the huge bandage on Lauren's side.
"Luce!" Lauren happily greeted the woman as she tried to sit up, but miserably failed because of the young boy sleeping by her bedside.
"What happened? Didn't I tell you to kick some ass in LA? Not get kicked in the ass?" Lucy bantered worriedly.
"I kicked some weak shit's ass. All he had on me was a fucking Swiss knife!" Lauren chuckled, looking down at now startled Jacob who was glaring at her for cursing.
"Mama, language." Jacob glared, curiously turning his gaze to the woman beside his mama's bedside.
"Lucy, you remember my Jacob right? This is him now." Lauren proudly uttered as she ruffled the young boy's hair playfully. "Jake, this is mama's friend, her name is Lucy." The raven-haired girl introduced.
"Hi!" The boy beamed excitedly, no sign of shyness showing in his expression.
"Mama, can I go to mami and Mica?" The boy asked Lauren with an innocent smile on his face.
"Go ahead, son. Say hi to little Mica for me." Lauren smiled as she kissed the young boy's forehead.
Jumping off of the bed, Jacob rushed off to the door, excited to see Camila and his little sister.
"So... Camila's here?" Lucy asked the raven-haired girl, still unknown to the fact it had been the brunette that had caused the cut on Lauren's side.
"Yeah, uh.. She's the reason I flew over." Lauren honestly responded.
"I believe you Jauregui, owe me a story." The Colombian beamed curiously.
"How about you help me sit up and I'll go tell?" Lauren playfully replied.
"Okay, shoot." Lucy uttered, taking a seat on the small stool that had been near Lauren's bedside.
"I know you're wondering. Jacob came to the Chicago a few weeks ago. The boy ran away from Camila's to find me. Apparently it was a call for help because Mark was beating them both up. Worse because she happens to be pregnant and the bastard didn't want the child. I felt bad, so I came down here to help. Along with Normani and Dinah, of course." Lauren explained broadly.
"So you've seen Camila?" The Colombian hesitantly asks, the wariness in her tone coming amiss to Lauren.
"Yeah, I took her out from the bedroom the day it happened. It was 2 days ago, I think. She was bruised and beaten up, Luce. Imagine having to go through that while having almost three children." Lauren sympathetically responded.
"Three? She has more kids now?"
"Actually, the third is the one she's bearing now. She has a six year old, though. Poor little girl still hasn't said a thing to me since the incident." Lauren sighed, remembering how closed-off the younger one was when it came to her.
"Where are the crazy animals?" Lucy said, immediately changing the subject. Faking a laugh, Lucy searched the room for any sign of Normani and Dinah.
"Oh, Mani and Dinah?" Lauren inquired even though she had known who Lucy was referring to, but waited for a nod of confirmation from the Colombian before proceeding. "They both stay with Mila. She kinda is in a bad state. So the two of them take turns in looking out for her." Lauren explained.
