Back in the hospital room after the ultrasound, Camila had been left alone temporarily when Dinah and Normani took the kids out for dinner. Alone with her thoughts, Camila had been thinking of where she would be going from here. All this time she never saw herself leaving Mark despite his abusive tendencies, basically because the brunette felt that she was in no way capable of getting away from his abusive hands. Now that Lauren had come to save her from it unexpectedly, she didn't know what she was to expect. Thoughts lingered in her mind, all of which were thoughts spun from her anxieties.

Hearing a faint knock on the door, Camila slowly turned around to face the door.

"Hey, can I come in?" Lauren asks softly, now standing with her dextrose pole on her left by Camila's doorway. Finally free from the wheelchair, the raven haired girl has been practicing on getting back on her feet.

"Hey, what are you doing here?" Camila asks in shock to find Lauren coming to her room.

"I was practicing how to walk. Feels weird, actually." Lauren chuckled at the thought of what she just said. "I'm getting discharged tomorrow, so I figured that it's about time I actually learn to get back on my feet." The raven-haired girl explained.

"Oh, they're finally letting you go?" Camila asked nervously, suddenly feeling upset at the fact that tonight might have just been the last time she was going to see the raven-haired girl.

"I guess I'm just too cool for this place." Lauren joked, earning a small chuckle from the brunette.

"You haven't changed." Camila replied still with a smile from her face, suddenly being brought back to those playful times in their relationship.

"Actually Camz, I came to ask you something." Lauren uttered as she walked closer to the brunette's bedside, looking at how her weakened body has been slowly losing the bruises.

"What is it?" Camila asked, trying her best to sit up to be eye-level with Lauren.

"Can we talk? I mean, we haven't really had a chance to just sit down and talk since god knows when." The raven-haired girl asked.

"Funny, I don't think I can sit though." Camila joked. "But sure, go ahead."

"Well, I just thought that you maybe wanted a clean slate after all the drama. I was thinking, would you want to come back to Chicago with Dinah? It's just.. We were all talking earlier that we wanted to get you an apartment close to hers. You know, in case you need anything?" Lauren began to ramble, afraid that her idea would be shot down.

"It's just a temporary thing, really. But only if you wanted to." The raven-haired girl offered, eyeing the lightening bruise on Camila's forehead.

"Lauren, I can't." Camila replied embarrassed. "I might have to come back home to my mom's place temporarily, you know... I think I just lost my house." Camila joked to lighten the situation.

"And I know for a fact that he's never going to let you get away, Camila. It's your choice." Lauren said with a small smile. Not wanting to push the matter with Camila, the raven-haired girl just hoped that girl considered her options well.

"Why are you doing this, Laur? I just want to know." Camila asked skeptically. "You really don't have to, if you're doing this out of pity."

"We've talked about this, Mila." Lauren replied honestly, rubbing her dextrosed arm over Camila's eyebrow.
