It didn't take long until Lauren was back on her feet again busy being the workaholic that she was. Determined more than ever to become the best version of herself to make Camila want to stay, the raven-haired girl kept pushing herself to the limit in breaking boundaries for Camila and their little family. Everything that she failed to be when Jacob was born, was now what she was trying to accomplish. From being a good provider to the best support system she could be, all that Lauren wanted was to cater to all of the woman's needs. Even though some, she had to do in secret to avoid being outrun by the brunette.

Letting the security go as the threat to the brunette's life has come to an end, the two came up with a small unspoken routine that Lauren enjoyed breaking every now and then. Despite having Camila left alone at home while Jacob and Mica were in school, the raven-haired girl loved sneaking through her job to surprise Camila in her home midday. It was a constant thing for her to keep trying so hard to make the brunette's life easier, and frankly, Lauren loved seeing that small smile on her ex-wife's face after a long day of work and caring for the kids.

The house set-up was no different either. With Lauren's property going as far as one's eyes could see, Camila had her own bedroom that she shared with Mica. Little did she know was that there was one special room in between her and Lauren's that was slowly being fixed for the latest addition of the family. Not once did Camila ever wonder what was inside that room that Lauren always kept locked, the brunette really did not think anything of the way the raven-haired girl seemed to be secretive of that one specific bedroom.

It was a busy afternoon in MarketOne, causing the raven-haired woman to flare up in anger in one of the meetings she had piloted. Being the meticulous woman she is, Lauren was emphasizing a specific point that none of the people in the room was able to understand. Little by little she grew frustrated of the incompetence of the people in the room, causing the woman to furiously present the next slides of her presentation to the people in the board room.

"Are you insane? Have you not been listening to the past few minutes of my report? That's exactly what I've been trying to explain!" Lauren angrily shot at one of the employees who raised his hand to clarify the itinerary of Lauren's presentation.

"I have, ma'am. I apologize for not being able to understand it earlier." The boy responded sheepishly, his nervousness quite obvious in the way his body responded to Lauren's angry build.

As Lauren was about to rage once again, the office door opened after a series of feint knocks that halted the woman from proceeding her angry speech.

"Hey, am I interrupting?" The familiar voice asked, noticing that her timing might have been the worst considering all the anger that masked Lauren's voice which she heard the moment she alighted the elevator.

"And there she is, the one and only who could save the day! Get your wife to calm down and stop scaring these people, Walz." Dinah bantered as she saw Camila peeping through the door.

Hesitant on whether she was to enter the room, Camila looked over to where Lauren was first, before deciding on what she were to do next. Even after all of those years that the two had spent together, it was a rare occurrence for Lauren to shoot up in anger, leaving the brunette unsure of how she was to pacify an angry Lauren.

Her heart fluttering at the sight of Camila in a loose sundress, Lauren immediately walked over to where the brunette was standing, her mood quickly changing as she approached Camila.

"Is everything okay? Do you need help with absolutely anything?" The raven-haired girl uttered as she wrapped her arms around Camila cautiously.

"No, actually I was on my way to the doctor's when I thought of passing by to bring food for you. I know how busy you get, especially after the report you've stayed up all night to do." Camila grinned at the woman as she panned her eyes through the room, noticing almost the entire table looking at her like she was some saint that saved the day.
