"Hey little C! Where's mami?" Dinah asked as she caught sight of the youngster on Lauren's back as they walked through the work floor.
"Mami woke up with a nightmare and really bad tummy pain, Aunt DJ. But Lawen made it better so we're going to the toy store after!" Mica beamed excitedly, causing other employees to silently giggle at Lauren's playfulness around kids.
"So, did you learn to shut your mouth or did you decide on finding another career?" Lauren asked as she gazed at the Polynesian's eyes threateningly, not wanting to have this conversation with Dinah in the office where her employees would have to overhear.
"No ma'am! I have bills to pay too and stuff that I really want to buy for myself." Dinah laughed as she took Mica in her arms, now carrying the young one as they walked through the office halls.
"Can you take her to check on Camz while I meet with the staff? I have to get going soon and the only way I can do it is if I get her out of my hair for a while." Lauren joked as she kissed the young one's forehead, the gesture being evidently watched by the employees that were sat around them.
"Sure thing, Laur. Nice going with my best friend, by the way. Heard she needs a baby daddy and you happen to fit the glove." Dinah smirked as she started walking away from Lauren but was stopped when the young one was trying to escape from her arms and tried walking back to Lauren.
"Lawen! You leaving me?" The young one called out, now with panic showing in her expression. That expression causing a tiny pinch to Lauren's heart, she shrugged then decided to hold her arms out, reaching the younger one.
Walking to the Mica, she muttered out in a cooing manner. "I told you I wouldn't, right? Lauren is always here for you, Jacob and mama." The CEO offered as she took Mica in her arms.
"Okay yes! But can I go with you instead?" The young one said with pleading eyes she knew the raven-haired girl couldn't resist.
"I'll handle it from here, DJ. Just check on Camz while I'm gone. She's been hazy since this morning." Lauren asked pleadingly as she walked Mica with her to the conference room.
Agreeing as she began to walk back to Lauren's office, Dinah caught sight of the pregnant woman seated beside Jacob as Camila tried to take a nap.
"Is she okay?" Dinah asked Jacob as she gazed at Camila's sleeping figure.
"The baby kept on moving today. So mami is a little bit exhausted but she should be fine." Jacob informed Dinah as he planted a soft kiss on Camila's shoulder blade just like Lauren would when she'd hug the brunette from behind.
"How were you guys last night?" Dinah asked the young boy, hoping to get information as to what happened after they left.
"Mami woke up a nightmare. But it was okay after Mica woke mama up to help." Jacob informed her with his proud look plastered on.
Finding out the details about how the night went for them back in Lauren's apartment, Dinah was amazed at how well Lauren was able to handle Camila even at her worst possible situation. Staying with them as Lauren met with her staff, the remainder of the time was spent with Jacob filling the Polynesian on about how he saw Lauren kiss Camila good night after bringing her to bed the previous evening.
During her 10-minute meeting, Lauren had the young girl seated on her hip and tiny arms wrapped around her neck as she discussed the agenda for the next few projects of the company. Being interrupted by a few kisses on the cheek and short giggles every so often, the raven-haired girl found herself chuckling at the young one's gestures. Adoring how Lauren seemed to be unusually light-hearted when it came to those matters, her staff were all buzzing about how their boss suddenly had a sudden shift of aura, the murmurs not coming amiss to Normani who was seated near the murmuring employees.
