Losing my other half

Pool Party (Part 4)

I jumped in the pool-more like fell. The warm water soothed my eye which felt a lot better, and my knuckles had scabs on them. I felt a lot better after an hour. I looked at my phone; several messages from dad, and the time was 8:30.

"How are you feeling?" Two arms wrapped around my waist.

"I'm fine." I turned my head and smiled. "Now let's go" I said.

I put down my phone and felt several hands lift me up. I screamed. It was muffled by the water which I fell into. I came back up laughing.

"Well thanks for that!" I yelled over the song "Midnight Memories" by One Direction. It was one of my favorite songs by them.

I floated on the water for a few seconds when I bumped into someone.

"Oh I'm sorry." I turned to see Anthony.

"How are you?"

"Fine....?" I said like a question.

"Good." He looked around. When he looked back at me, he cupped his hands around my jaw. He closed his eyes and leaned in, and pulled me in. I had to close my eyes for him. It felt like... Like... Sparks? It wasn't better than Jake's but it wasn't horrible. He just went hard, then soft. Hard, then soft. I was the one that pulled away.

"What the hell was that?" I whisper-yelled.

"A kiss" he pulled me in again. I didn't know whether to stop or not.

"No." I said pulling away

"C'mon Kenna." He picked me up until my legs rested on his waist. I jumped off.

"Look, I'm glad somebody likes me. It's been forever. But, I just can't."

"Just one last time. you kiss so well."

"I can't-" that got interrupted by his hard kiss. It pushed my head back and he let back. He jut couldn't stop though. He kissed my neck, my cheek and my forehead before he could stop.

"Okay Anthony." I said

"Okay." He let me go and I looked down and looked back up.

"Back to normal?" He asked

"Back to normal." I walked away and went to Brooke and Leslee.

"I need to ask you guys something."

They looked at each other and looked back up at me. With worried faces. They followed me to the locker rooms and I sat on the counter sinks.

"Where do I start?" I swung my feet as they were crossed.

"What?" Brooke said.

I sighed, "I kissed Jake. And Anthony" I lifted my shoulders and smiled .

"Oh Kenna." Brooke said

"It's okay Brooke, at least one of them is safe." Leslee looked at Brooke.

"True true." Brooke said nodding her head.

"Which one is safe?" I raised my voice

"Jake." They said simultaneously.

"Good. That's what I was hoping."

"So tell us what happened. In detail." Brooke said smiling.

I told them what happened and they brightened their faces.

"Yes. Totally go with Jake." Leslee said. "Totally."

"But what if he's abusive? Or uncaring? Or-"

"He's not! He's fine! He's fun, loving, caring, and makes time for you. Anthony is great as a friend, but as a boy friend, ehhh he's over protective, and spends time with his friends more."

"Okay." I was wondering how they knew but I dismissed it. It's nothing.

We walked out and everyone was having a fun time.

"Hurry! It's time for the picture!" Amy pulled me to the edge of the pool. There was a photographer at the other end.

"1..2..3.." He said. We all held hands and jumped in. It was perfect. I held hands with Jake and Brooke. It was just so perfect.

"How are you liking it here?" Jake slung his arm around my shoulder.

"I love it! It's my first party since homecoming so it's going great." I chuckled but I wasn't lying.

"That's great." He chuckled, "hey, uhh, do you want to go out with me?"
