McKenna's POV
I was stunned. Usually he never asks me to homecoming. I've never been to homecoming before so this was gonna be fun.
"Of course I will" I said. I stood up and gave Ethan a huge hug. But homecoming was tomorrow night! I needed a dress. I had 24 hours to find one. Hopefully Ethan will come with me to pick it out.
I went back inside when it was time to go back. I hate school. Not because of the academics because all the guys stare at me like they wanted to rape me. They stare at my breasts and butt all the time! I'm sick of it!
I ignored everybody staring at me. I got through school with no homework. Little celebration inside. Whoop whoop. My skateboard fell out of my locker and I picked it up. Once I got outside, I put down my skateboard an hopped on.
"Wait! Hold up!" Ethan hollered from behind me. I stopped my board and turned around.
"What's up?" I asked. I was kinda confused.
"I just wanted to say goodbye."
I rolled my eyes and gave him a big hug.
"I'll see you tomorrow Kenna" Ethan said. I hopped back on my board and started home. My hat got pulled off and my crown got placed on my head. I put my hat in my bag and continued to go about.
I got home and my dad was on the computer like always. I set my bag down and my skateboard in the garage.
"Hey honey" my dad mumbled from the kitchen counter.
"Hey dad!" I hugged him and kissed his cheek.
"Guess what dad?"
"What?"
"Ethan asked me to homecoming!"
He looked up from the computer and smiled. Then his arms wrapped around me.
"I have to work tomorrow. Who is going to help pick out your dress?"
Oh. I didn't think about that. I wanted Ethan to help me but yet I wanted it to be a surprise.
"I don't know, Ethan is my only friend"
I sat down on the couch and thought about who would help me. I wasn't going to wearing any special shoes, no special make-up. I decided to sleep on it.
*the next morning*
I woke up and got dressed right away. It was 9 and I had 10 hours to get everything. I found a note from my dad. It was just another "I love you have a good homecoming" note.
I got into my car and drove down to Macy's. It was BUSY! I got through the crowd and started looking at short dresses. I found a lovely strapless sapphire blue dress with a silver sash to go around my waist.
"Can I help you miss?" said a lovely voice from behind me. I swiveled around.
"Uhh. Yes, please. I have no friends to judge what looks good and what doesn't. Can you possibly help me?"
"Of course darling!" she said in her lovely British accent. Her hands went through that rack faster than I would. She held a couple dresses up to me and shook her head. She licked out three more dresses that my look good on my self.
"Here, go try these on and show me in between dresses"
I nodded my head and proceeded to the dressing rooms. I pushed every door to see if they were vacant or occupied. I finally found one on my third try. I went in and locked the door behind me.

I came out of the room in a strapless dress that came to my knees. It was white with a pink sash that went around my waist. The lady examined it and walked around my body.
"Looks good. Let's see if any other dresses look better or worse."
She shooed me away and I fast walked to my room. I took that one off and tried my second one.

I exited the room wearing a strapless orange dress that was bejeweled on the top and all tulle at the bottom. Again, the lady examined it and shook her head. Apparently it didn't look good with my eyes. Back to the dressing room I went.

I think this one was the best so far. It was a pink strapless dress with silver jewels and a sash (same color) that tied in the front and made a bow. (Note: all the dresses are short) The woman looked at it and nodded her head.
"I have one more!" I said while walking into the dressing room.
I took off this one and hung it up. I looked at the last one and put it on. This isn't the dress from before. It's a different one I picked out.
I walked out of the dressing room and I saw everyone stare at me in awe. It was comfortable and not to "prom dressy" type. It wasn't made out if tulle and jewels. It was all teal. Except the top which was a black lace. It wasn't strapless but it was stunning.
"Yes!" The lady didn't even look at it from all sides. She looked at it and nodded we head violently. I smiled and went back to the dressing rooms. I took it off and put my leggings and t-shirt back on. I grabbed my purse a the dress and went outside.
