When Jake asked me out, I knew the answer right away, "of course. We kissed didn't we?" I smiled and leaned in or a kiss. He kissed me back.

"Tomorrow at 5:30 in the afternoon. Wear something that... Suits the weather." He smiled and kissed my cheek.

"Aye aye captain!" I saluted and laughed. Jake reminded me of Augustus Waters from The Fault In Our Stars. He really does.

"Oh shoot I should really get home. My dad is probably waiting." I said.

"Okay babe. See you tomorrow. Oh, I need to get your address."

"You, get my number first." I wrote my number on his hand and said goodbye.

"Tomorrow." He said.

"Tomorrow" I said back to him.

I arrived at home safe and sound and my dad was on the phone.

I gave him a puzzled look and he just smiled.

"Uh huh"

"..."

"Great! See you Monday!"

He hung up.

"What was that?" I set down my stuff and plopped on the couch.

"Ellen Degeneres! She wants you to tell your story on the show!" He practically yelled.

"OH MY GOSH DAD!" I jumped and hugged him super tight.

"You go on Monday. You have to leave Sunday for Burbank California. It's gonna be long and I want you to explore the area so you leave at 5 am. 8 hour flight in all. You stop in Oregon. I am so excited! But I'm not going with you." He explained.

"Okay. Great! Oh, by the way, I have a date tomorrow."

"Oh. Okay." He said. "What time?"

"5:30 pm. I have to wear something that suits the weather." I quoted

"Okay... I am going to bed."

"Okay!"

I went upstairs and changed into pjs. My teeth shined bright white after I brushed them. I hopped into bed and my phone buzzed.

"Hey it's Jake!" It read.

"Hey I was just going to bed"

"Well you should stay up."

"Fine"

"Fine"

"Where we going tomorrow."

"Just down to Miami Amusement Park."

"Oh I love that place."

And that was the end. He didn't reply and I was too tired to restart the conversation. I went to bed all wrapped up in blankets.

The sky was dark. Night. But it was snowing. The trippy thing was that there wasn't a cloud in the night sky. And no trees, no roads, no houses, no anything. Just an open field. I looked around and the snow turned into rain. I looked around once again. I saw a spiraling staircase lead up to the newly appeared clouds. I decided to climb them. Step after step. They were ice cold, cold steps. They were slippery too. On every step I slipped, leaving bruises on my arms and legs. I finally got up the steps, looking below the clouds. I glanced up and saw stars. Bright, shining stars. I reached up, grasping nothing but air. I closed my eyes, wishing upon the shooting star. I opened my eyes. It was all white. Pure white. I ran. There was a wall. I looked back, looking at the three walls connecting to the one. I screamed. But no sound came out. I grasped my head, and cried. No sound. Just mute. I looked up, and saw someone. I crawled on all fours to the person. It was Ethan. "Ethan?" I tried to muffle out. "ETHAN!" I finally got some sound. He turned around. Instead of his face staring at me, it was Maleficent, staring at me with her cold, dead eyes.

I bolted up, sweating and breathing hard. My clock read 2:58am. "Good, still time to sleep." I get up from my bed, and trudge down the stairs into the kitchen. I grabbed a cloth and ran it under cold water. I wrung it out, folded it up, and walked back upstairs. I lay there on my bed, thinking about snow. Snow always calms me down enough to sleep.

I finally woke up. I looked at my clock and the bright digits said 10:36am. I stretched my arms and got up. Thump. Thump.

"Hey McKenna!" My dad cheered.

"Hey" I moaned

"Breakfast is on the table"

"Great"

I grabbed a fork and started eating my French toast. After that was devoured, I continued on with my day. I took a nice shower, which took up most of the time I had to kill.

I went back to my room and rummaged through the hanging clothes. I finally picked out a hot pink half shirt. It said "love" in black cursive and showed below my belly button. The skirt that went with the shirt was black and rested mid-thigh. And my shoes were white converse. My earrings were gold hoops lined with diamonds that matched my gold eyeshadow. I had my e.l.f. lip gloss and falsies eyelashes from Maybelline. My nails took forever but finally they were white and the white faded into gray with black sparkles running across the whole surface. Let's not get started on how long it took to do it but it took a good hour an a half. It was a water fall that fell from the braid running across the backside of my head.

I looked at the clock one last time, and it was 5:25. Any minute now. Jake and I will have our first date.

(A/N: I'm going to be in California Friday, Saturday, Sunday, and Monday. So I won't be able to update then. And next week I get out of school so it's gonna be hectic. Just know, I'm leaving you at kind of a cliff hanger. But have a great weekend!! Recommend the story to friends. It would be great! Thanks!
