Beeping, coldness. It started all over. Me, waking up. Nothing new, except for Jake was here, in the room, sleeping.
"Jake." I muttered under my breath. I could talk! It was a miracle. But I need Jake to know I didn't die.
Nothing.
"Jake" I shouted a little louder.
Nothing.
"JAKE!" I roared. He woke up with a startled expression. He smiled, his cute, gorgeous little smile.
"Hey, you can talk!" He jingled. Gosh was he adorable.
"I know! Is everything alright?" I asked closing my eyes again. Jake had a confused look, but he understood. He looked left, right, at everything.
"Yeah, IV fluid is almost out, your blood pressure is a tad high but doctor said it was normal. He smiled and kissed me on my head.
"My head hurts." I moaned.
"Well yeah, you have a huge scar on your head."
I reached up to feel my head. Thick, coarse thread spiraled in a straight line. I rubbed up and down, as it felt weird on my finger. Sigh.
"Oh, Anthony is here too. But I didn't know if you wanted him in, so I didn't let him in."
"I'll see him for a couple minutes. But not long, I'm really tired."
Jake left the room, and came back with Anthony. And he had a girl with him.
"Hey Kenna." He said meekly.
"Hey. Who's this?"
"Oh this is Shaylee. My girlfriend."
"Hey Shaylee. I'm sorry I look like crap." I chuckled.
"I've seen worse, trust me." She winked.
I could sense tension between Anthony and Jake. So I broke it.
"I'm tired. Nice meeting you Shaylee, nice seeing you Anthony. Bye"
"Get well soon." They chirped.
I stared at Jake with an annoyed expression. "What was that tension between you and him?"
"Oh we aren't friends. I found out he kissed you and I sorta freaked." He turned bright red. Half fury, half blushing.
"You JUST found out?" I was truly puzzled.
"Yeah...?" Wow. Okay, a month later and he finds out.
"You better get some rest hun, it's early."
"Okay." And just like that, I fell asleep again.

I was in a rocket. The kind you would draw as a kid, a grey oval with red winglets, and fire streaming out of the end. I looked out the red ring window, with Earth millions of miles away. "We are far enough where you can touch the stars." My mom said, and left. And I did just that, reached out the window, and touched a star. I retreated back in, and looked at the empty ship. As I looked back out the window, I saw purple sand, and black jagged glass looking rocks. We crashed. Boooshh. I swam to shore. On the other side of the blackness, was bright, colorful flowers. And a yellow brick road. Disney characters walked around, frantic, but just walked. Dorothy came and met me by a fountain. "You're McKenna, right?"
"Yeah" "we need your help. Neverland is running out. We need your help." Dorothy said. I blinked. And I ended up home, but it was an unknown place. The 11th doctor appeared in my room, along with Amy. I blinked again, and thy were gone. "DOCTOR!?" I screamed. A crowd of people were at my door. "DOCTOR!?" But instead of the Doctor appearing, it was a chocolate lab. In a red suit, with a blue tie. Standing up like a human. "DOCTOR" I screamed, but zombies appeared. And in another blink of an eye, I was somewhere else. This time, I was in an arcade. With the Doctor. We played games, and sat down with our drinks. The hazy sky draped down in the countryside. And everything was fine.

I woke up again. A waffle was on the table with a note. "Here's a waffle for you. I cut it up small, because you need to eat small bites. Eat the jello last, no matter how full you are. Then the smoothie inbetween. Love you hun. Love, Jake"
I slid the table to my stomach, and started eating. Just then, Doctor Chris came in.
"Hey, McKenna. Glad you're eating. I just wanted you to know, the surgery was mostly unsuccessful. You aren't entirely free of cancer. It was deep inside. I got part of it out, but we need you here longer. Radiation therapy is scheduled for tomorrow. But just get some rest today. And your stitches will come out next week, so be careful when you sleep not to toss and turn."
I tried to pay attention to all that information. But it was so much. I found a TV remote, and turned on the TV. In at least 30 minutes of TV, I fell asleep, to my favorite song, Try Hard by 5sos.
