Eclair's POV
The train pulled up to the train station, as we sighed, wishing we had more time to discuss alchemy. Never before have I been able to talk to someone about anything, and they feel the same way. I now understood other parts and symbols in alchemy that I never understood before, and things were finally looking up from here.
We both had fallen asleep, woken up by a guy pressing a gun against my face and Ed's.
"How can they sleep when we are hijacking the train? Rise and shine you two, or get killed" I woke up, keeping my eyes shut. I was not going to let these guys push me around.
"Ed, El, wake up!" I hear Al shout, as he gets silenced. The gun is pressed harder against my cheek.
As if it was perfectly timed, Ed and I clap our hands, changing our auto-mail arms into sharp blades, jumping up and knocking the guys out with a powerful kick, throwing them out of the train.
"Anyone else here part of them?" I ask. Everyone shakes their heads as Al shouted, "the train conductor!"
"Thanks Al" Ed says, as we take off to the front of the train.
"Stop!!!" I shout, as we halt before the break to the next train car. The wind blows my hair out of the ponytail I had it in, and into Ed's face. "If we kept running, we would have fell off the train and killed ourselves." I say in a small voice, barley heard over the sound of the wind.
"Thanks" Ed mumbles quietly. I then look him in the eye.
"I'll jump first. I bet I could make it across. I can help you across when I make it."
"We need to get to the roof, that way we can enter the front car" I nod. Even for me this would be risky, trying to jump up to the roof. The distance between the cars was already farther than normal.
I back up the few steps I can, and take a running start, jumping into the air, grabbing the top of the train car on the other side. I swing my left leg up, rolling up on the roof, laying on my stomach."If you need help, I'm here!"
Ed, being reluctant, jumped, and grabbed the roof, slipping off, because he couldn't pull his weight up. I offered my hand to help, but he tried to get up on his own, soon taking my hand, seeing that he couldn't pull his weight up, since he was slipping. I helped him up, who nodded in thanks, as we ran to the front of the train, now having an easier time jumping from car to car.
We make it up to the engine.
Showtime.
