Eclair's POV

"Tree....Tree...Tree....Tree...." I said, naming the things I saw outside the window of the train. It seemed like this forest we were going through never ended.
That, and the thoughts of being home for a while...ugh.
I didn't wanna go back, I wanted to stay away, because that was a place of a fool. And I wasn't a fool.
That, and the people there. They just don't leave me alone. I was still the town's alchemist. And if they replaced me, then the person who became the town's alchemist probably would want to challenge me. That'd be a nightmare. I really didn't wanna do anything, but lie low, and then kick some you know what.
"Hmmm, there's gotta be something up with this, I mean, they want you, and not any alchemist for some reason" Ed said, before we got into an in depth conversation about alchemy.

Vapor's POV

"Doesn't alchemy get boring after a while, I mean, it seems that's all those two talk about" I moan, as I start to count the bushes, and shrubs on the the flat land that we passed by.
"Yeah, it gets annoying, but after a while, you just learn to tune it out. It's all those two do for a living. They have to find some joy in their life" Winry, replies.
"But could they be normal, for once, and just act like normal people?"
"That's their 'normal', no matter how twisted it may be." Winry looks at them, "But yeah, they never stop traveling for a moment."

Eclair's POV

We finally got back to my 'home', as we all retreated to Trever's place, since it was the only place we could go for the moment, but on the way, we hit some trouble.
"Hey he-she, you're bean-sized shrimp friend, suite of armor for protection, brain-less blond, and crazy girl with her three-legged dog" I knew that voice well. It was Zanner, the kid who's father wanted to be the town's alchemist really bad.
We all turned around in sinc, with mad looks on our faces, before I moaned, "What?"
"So you're back. And got little friends he-she. Guess who became this towns new alchemist?"
"Don't. Call. Me. A. HE-SHE!!!!! I'll pull your hair so hard it'll be longer than you're ankles!!!!" Ed shouted a similar threat, as we had looks of anger beyond imaginable on our faces.
"Still the same he-she. And now has a friend. What brings you back here?"
"Business. Work. Investigating."
"So you gave up you're life as an alchemist. Good. Since you were no-"
Clap! Clap!
Ed and I clapped our hands, making our arms change into a dagger covering. Our gloves broke, showing our bare hands, and metal. We weren't hesitant on our decision.
"No transmutation circles?! How-?!"
"That's why we, state alchemists are here. I'm Halfmetal. He's fullmetal. Now if I were you, I'd lay off."
