Eclair's POV
"If I don't die of Heat, hunger, or thirst, then please tell me I'm already dead." Ed moans.
"Sun-cooked shrimp.... Sadly, that even sounds good right now." I say, letting my defenses go. It didn't matter how tough I acted in front of them. They didn't care, and Ed was doing the same.
"I'm surprised we aren't heading in circles" Envy says. It had been nearly five days now. Grass seemed to be the food of choice.
"ahh" I moan, rubbing the sides of my metal leg, as we stop for a rest break. I look up at the sky. Clouds start to come into sight. "I think it's gonna rain."
"I feel it too"
"Water" Envy gasps.
"If it storms...then what do we do?" Ed asked. I check my watch. Six in the evening.
"Let's set up camp here. It'll he best we stayed protected the whole time then not at all." Ed and I clap our hands, and make the ground into a house. It was more like a tent, that we could sleep in, huddled close for warmth.
We all go in, crawling in the small hole that was the entrance. I put on my jacket, and my long coat laying on my back. Ed on my right, Envy on my left.
"We'll stay here 'till the storm blows over" Ed states. We nod in response, huddling closer. Ed keeps his hand on me, as if he was saying I'm his. I ignored it. It didn't matter who's I was. It only mattered that I was still me.
Envy was the first out, falling asleep quickly, leaving time for me and Ed to talk.
"Eclair."
"Edward."
"Do you like being called El?"
"Depends. Sometimes yes, others...I just wanna take someone Out. Weird huh? What about you?"
"I guess the same."
We sit in silence for the next few minutes, before I asked Ed, "Promise not to tell anyone? Well, I'm sorta starting to like all of this. I mean, I'm stuck with someone who I can trust, and there's no one to tell me what I can, or cannot do. I like it. I like the rain."
"I miss Al" Ed states, "but otherwise I don't think it's that bad."
I turn to face Ed, before I smile and say, "I've never before been able to tell someone about my 'mess-up' or when I did Human Transmutation. I don't know how I was able to tell you so easily."
"I don't know, but I almost feel the same way."
"After all this is done, could I stick with you? I don't have anywhere to go otherwise."
"Al and I don't either. There is no place for us. We just don't-"
"Fit in."
"Fit in." we both say. I knew how it felt. So did Ed.

Ayumi's POV
"How do you know that?" Mustang asked me.
"Every year, around this time, a bunch of wild horses come through. I come down from the mountains, and try to capture any of them, with a group of hunters. They come from the forest, near the border, head inland, towards resembool, then head back towards the mountains, and back into the forest. The horses have already came through, so at least they won't get trampled."
"But how do you know the location of this so precise?"
"When you go to different parts twice if not more in a year, you began to recognize things. Even though it all looks the same." I explained. Everyone seemed to be intrigued.
"Then can you predict where they are at?"
"Well if I use this map" I take mustangs map, "They have been spotted here, and here, and lost people tend to travel in straight lines, so they're going right in the direction of Resembool. They should get there...." I eyeball the map It has been days since anyone has seen them. "In about a week. Minimal. It's long and harsh. We'll be lucky sooner."
"I'm going to get some troops to go out there and search for them. They are probably lost and starving." Mustang leaves. I sigh, looking at Al, who, for a suit of armor, looked happy. I'd found his brother....somewhat.
