Friends Standing Face To Face Never Tell Lies

Eclair's POV

Before we set off, we got a call. I was needed to see The further immediately. I didn't wanna see him. Every time he made me come, it only was bad news. I started tensing up. There was something bad happening.

"I'll go. Everyone stay here. I won't be gone for long" I say, sighing.

"You can't go by yourself!!" Al says. Ed stands up.

"I'll go with you" Ed says.

"Really?" I ask. Never before have I had someone want to come with me. I've always been alone.

"yeah. It'll be fun"

"Fun." I repeat. Fun. I haven't had alot of it lately. Not really in a while.

"Okay. Everyone else stay here. And don't leave. Not even you Palm tree"

"I won't go anywhere." Envy says.

"Okay then, we'll be off" I say, as Ed and I both leave to head back to central.

Ayumi's POV

"Are you sure they're going to be okay?" I ask Al. He was so nice to me. I just wish I could see his real face. He just was so nice, and sweet.

"I think so. Ed is with her, and Eclair's Eclair. She won't let anything happen to either of them."

"I guess I just worry too much."

"No! Worring's a good thing! It would be bad if you didn't!"

"I know. But I just feel so weak" I look down at my scraped knees. I felt so useless. Like there was nothing I could do to be help around here.

"You're not weak, Ayumi! You are very helpful. You are the only one who knows the other sides of these mountains. El and Trevor know only one side, and parts. But you know the whole thing! Don't doubt yourself!"

"I guess. I just want to be more useful to everyone"

"You are. And you will be! If not, then at least you are to me!"

"What do you mean?"

"Nothing" Al quickly says.

"You sure?"

"I'm positive"

We both laugh. We knew that there was more to this than a joke
