Eclair's POV

A few days later we were released, and could finally go anywhere we pleased. Of course, Mustang, Winry, Al, Trevor, and some others chewed our heads off about what we did, but we were happy about it.
"Okay. Now here's what we do. Leave the humancoli alone, and take out the weird people beyond the mountains. Except for you Envy. You're commin' with us to make sure the humancoli leave us alone." I say.
"Don't take any unnecessary risks" Ayumi told us. She was leaning against Al, who held her close.
"As an experienced state alchemist, I don't take unnecessary risks." I boast, crossing my arms.
"Then what was that thing you did a few weeks ago?"
"That wasn't a risk. I was gonna pass out anyway"
We argue on about that, when I end up winning. Then we get on the train to head to Trevor's.
"Finally, we're on the road again" I sigh. Ayumi and Al took a seat across from Vapor and cloud. Across the isle from them was winry and the equipment, with Trevor and his father. And Ed and I both took seats of our own behind them, where we could nap.
After about an hour, Trevor's father pulls me out, as we head to the empty corner of the train car.
"What do you want?" I ask. I was almost afraid.
"My daughter, I know you sort of have a thing for some man in your life, and I just wanted to say I approve of it."
"Trevor?!! Bleck!!!" I make a gagging followed by a puking sound.
"No. I mean the blonde kid. Edward."
"Ed? I-why-I-don't!! Why'd ya think that?!" I could feel myself turning bright red. My face burned. The train car began to feel real stuffy.
"It's okay. I know you won't admit it. But you can love anyone you want. You're sixteen. Independent. And smart enough to make choices for yourself." Did I really have a thing for Ed? How could I? I thought of everyone here as equal.
"How could you even think that I have a thing for him?!?!"
"It was clearly not apparent when you slept in his room with him that one night Trevor locked you out in the rain, you were stuck with him for two weeks, and had to huddle close to keep warm, something you usually don't do. cried in front of him, something you wouldn't do in front of anyone, and did that one thing that one night with him. You really let down your guard."
I did. He could've hurt me. He still could hurt me alot. But it's hard with someone like that. He let his guard down too.
I felt myself turn redder, as I walked back over to my seat. I couldn't stand it anymore.
"You okay?" Ed asked me.
"I'm fine"
"You sure?"
"Do I look like I'm sure?!"
We sit in silence before both falling asleep.
