Smoke
The next day
I awake in my bed to an alarm, nothing but my underwear and my duna covered parts my body, a small glimmer of sunlight shines through my curtains and paints parts of my room with light. I turn off my alarm and grab my school clothes along with a fresh pair of underwear and socks. I make my way to the bathroom that was a door away from my room, set my clothes on the counter and strip.
I turn on the hot water then mix in some cold water after a half a minute. When the water sets at a decent temperature, I moved in the way of the rushing, rain like water, relishing in the embrace of the warmth. Only one thing comes to my thoughts, a warm, caring hug from Cloudy, like the ones I felt yesterday.
I shake my head as I try to evade these thoughts, What am I doing? I think as I wash my fur, still trying to wrap my head around what happened yesterday. I never had a girlfriend let alone told anyone my story, it feels ... weird, though I feel this, that doesn't mean that I didn't develop feelings for Cloudy, that's something I cannot deny, honestly, it was because we spent so much time together these past few weeks that I started to feel these things. Even though it felt a little weird to share this sort of stuff with someone else, I'm glad that Cloudy is that person, despite the different feeling, its ... nice.
I finish my thoughts as I turn off and exit the shower. After getting dressed, I make my way down stairs to see a note on the kitchen counter
Hey Smoke
Sorry I left early, I had to get to work, don't wanna be late on my first day. Anyway, school called and said that you are only allowed to wear your jacket for the rest of the term, they have agreed to mail a jacket for next term, anyway, I'll be quizzing you on why you were a little late yesterday and I'm not taking 'don't worry about it' as an answer this time, hehe.
Anyway, will be home around about 5, have a good day
Love Sandra
I read the note as I get out a bowl, cereal, a spoon, and milk. I make and eat my breakfast before rummaging through the pantry and grabbing some snacks for recess, then I open the fridge to find some pre-made sandwiches and an apple that has been set aside for me.
I place all my food on the counter before going up to my room to grab my bag. After dragging the bag down stairs, I place it, open on a couch. I pull out my lunch bag and fit all my snacks in neatly and clean up any mess I had made before heading to the bathroom once more.
After brushing my teeth, I use my remaining time to brush my fur, tail and hair. Keeping my winter coat is a pain in the ass I think to myself, trying to rid myself of knots. Time passes and my phone starts to vibrate and beep, I check to see an alarm going off,
"Time to leave" I say to myself before grabbing my things, putting away my brush and making my way out the front door, locking it as I leave the building's interior.
I walk in the direction towards my bus's stop, making a stop at Cloudy's house before going any further. As I approach the door and, before I get a chance to even knock, it flies open and I'm found to be tackled to the ground within mere seconds. I look down to see Cloudy latched onto me, refusing to budge or let go.
"Heh, you are a clingy one, aren't you?" I ask, causing her to laugh and nod. We both get up and Cloudy goes to lock her door. As she walks back, she takes my paw as she passes me and took "come on, let's get going already" she says, happily as she begins to drag me along. I can tell that maybe now, things can be different, things can be better.
