Smoke
Cloudy and I walk down a street, calmly chatting away until we turn forward and stand in shock, a building up in a blaze stands just a couple building away. We run into the crowd that's being pushed back by a fireman, a snow tigress on her knees crying and trying to shake off a fire fighter that's holding her in place
"No, my baby is still in there!" She yells.
The fire fighter tries to calm her down and explain that the building will collapse at any moment. Despite what every fibre in my body tells me, I run under the line, around the fireman holding the crowd and ran past the one by the tigress, hearing them yelling at me as I head into the building that houses the inferno.Immediately, I start coughing violently and my eyes start to water as the smoke attacks my body. Damn my heightened sense of smell I think to myself as I hold the bottom half of my shirt over my mouth and nose, trying to block the smoke. I run through the building, looking in every room and yelling out until I finally hear a little girl crying and coughing, I run in the direction of the sound and enter the room that the noise is coming from to see a little tigress, sitting on the floor with tears pouring down her face and looking almost half dead.
I run up to her and try to pick her up, she keeps struggling, refusing to be picked up
"listen to me, I'm trying to help you, stop struggling right now so I can get you out of here and back to your mother!" I yell trying to remain brave. The girl stops squirming and lets me grab her "good, now are you hurt?" I ask, she nods and point to her leg, it looks to be broken
"ok, hold on tight and and cover your mouth and nose, this is going to be a little rough" I say as I move the shirt from my face and hold it on hers until she holds it firmly in place. I turn and run back the way I came.
With difficulty, I narrowly avoid tumbling debris before I reach a hall way with a bright light through the smoke at the end of it. I run as fast as I can with the girl in my arms, getting embers flicker into my fave and burn my lower body and arms. As I reach the end, I hear a massive crack from above me, I stop and look up, the roof starts caving in, I quickly throw the girl out of the building before diving ahead, however, I'm too late and I black out.
Cloudy
I see Smoke standing at the door before looking up, he suddenly throws the little girl in his arms out the door before trying to leap out but he gets crushed by some debris in mere seconds after. My eyes grow massive with fear and shock. I break past the fireman but suddenly get held back moments after
"SMOKE!" I scream from the top of my lungs as tears stream down my face.2 firemen run to him, one moves all the debris off of him and the other pulls him out before they all move to a safe distance. I break free of the man's grip and run over to Smoke, crouching down and wrapping one arm around his back and holding head in my other. I lightly shake him, trying to wake him up
"Smoke, Smoke, come on, please wake up" I cry "Smoke, please" I say before getting pulled away as paramedics try to move him with a stretcher. They move Smoke onto the stretcher and rush him to the nearby ambulance, I get let go and run over to them, one of them tries to push me back
"let me go with him, please let me go with him" I insist, worried to death and crying. The paramedic finally lets me pass and I sit in the back with him, an oxygen mask is placed over his face as I firmly hold his paw. The paramedic gets in the back with me and closes the doors while the other starts the vehicle and begins driving
"hurry, this kid is in critical condition!" The zebra sitting in the back with me yells as the vehicle starts moving.I hear the sirens screaming as the van moves as fast as it can. I sit next to my unconscious wolf, crying and clenching his paw in mine for the whole trip. I'm not losing you, I'm not losing another man in my life, not again, PLEASE don't leave me alone.
