Smoke
We get to school and do our usual routine, we sit with the group. When we sit, Cloudy sits next to me and closes as much distance as possible by cuddling up as close as she can, making everyone look at us with confusion and shock.
"So, I take it something happened" Niki asks, I look away, blushing a little, Cloudy just kisses me on my cheek before answering.
"Yep, we're now a thing" she says with a wink towards Niki.
I feel someone pat me on the back, I look to see David.
"Nice catch, never thought the 'lone wolf' would find someone" he says letting out some laughter. I punch him in the shoulder
"shut up" I say, feeling a little annoyed but laughing a little along side him.
Nathan comes out from around a corner and sits down with his phone out, looking a little annoyed. Emerald looks at him with some confusion
"what's wrong?" he asks, voicing all of our confusion. Nathan looks to him before answering
"dad's telling me that we're going to Queensland for the holidays, visiting Uncle Joseph" he says, annoyed.
David rolls his eyes and gives a sigh
"he's pissy because he wanted to stay home and arrange something for all of us to do together" he says. A thought enters my head
"so what is everyone else doing for the holidays?" I ask, everyone looks at me
"well, I'm going to see my grandparents" Niki says
"visiting family from overseas, and I'm taking Tiana too" Emerald speaks up as Tiana hangs off him. I then turn to Cloudy
"well, looks like you and me are the only ones in town then" I say, making her smile and snuggle up to me more.
"Well, gotta find stuff to do then" Cloudy says as she tries to dig into my jacket.
"oh, please, will you two just get a room already?" Emerald says, making everyone, including me and Cloudy, burst out in laughter, I guess because of the irony. The siren sounds and we all begin to head off to home class to begin our day.
The only thoughts in my head were those of what I could plan to do with Cloudy on our holidays, the ones that are only 5 days away from starting.
