Since my visit to James', Cloudy and I have taken our kids around there, introducing them to the little kitten of the house, while in the mean time, Cloudy and I got to know Clair, James' girlfriend. While we were at our last visit, a week or so ago, Clair caught me alone and gave me an idea, an idea that I was ready to finally go through with.

Smoke

I enter a jewellery store and immediatly turn my attention towards the selection of rings before a store worker approaches me from behind the display.
"Good afternoon, sir, may I help you today?" the blue tiger asks
"Yes, I'm looking for a ring, preferably one that would make a good engagement ring" I inform as I examin the displays
"Certainly, sir, I'll be a moment" he says before walking away, coming back minutes later with a whole bunch of rings sitting in a cushioned tray.
"Here are our special rings, these are my recommendations for these sort of events" he says as he gently places the trey over the glass counter.

I examine each ring until I see a basic thick, golden band with a large diamond being acompanied by a pair of smaller diamonds encrusted on either side
"This one is perfect, can I also engrave something here too or do I need to go somewhere else for those services?" I ask as I examine the ring further, the shopkeeper nods with a smile on his face
"We do provide engraving however, it does add an extra $50 on to the price" he politely explains. I hand him the ring
"how much is it for the ring?" I ask
"the price of that one is $325, so if you want the engraving, it'll be $375 in total" he says.

I hand over $400 and politely instruct the jeweler to keep the extra change before they proceed to take the ring over to what looks to be an engraver

"so what do you want on it?" he asks, keeping his polite composure

"Snow Angel" I answer after a few moments of thought before watching the engraving happen.

I watch for about an hour and a half before the jeweler stops, walks back to the counter and gently puts the ring in a cushioned box

"here you are, Smoke" he says as he hands it to me with a smile. I look with surprise before finally recognising the feline

"Damian? I thought you looked familiar" I say as calmly take the box and place it in my jacket

"I thought you did too, you look so different now with the shorter hair, and don't get me started on your major attitude change" he says as he recals the last time we saw eachther. We stand and catch up on our current lives before I leave the store, giving a friendly wave as I walk out the door.

Later

I ride on home and walk through my front door to find Cloudy, sitting on the loungeroom couch with Alex and Alisa, watching TV. I walk on through to the kitchen and call out to Cloudy. Cloudy comes through to the kitchen shortly after getting called

"hey, I have an idea for tonight" I begin, grabbing the vixen's interest before continuing "do you wanna go out to dinner tonight? I can call someone to come and look after the twins while we're out" I suggest, trying not to let anything slip, Cloudy looks a little confused

"what's the occasion?" she asks, making me scratch the back of my head as I try and think of a reason

"can't a guy take his girlfriend out to dinner every once in a while?" I playfully ask

"ok then" she chuckles in responce

"I think I know exactly what dragon wolf and thylacine would love to spend the night with Alex and Alisa" I say before getting a hug from Cloudy
