I walked down the busy hallway with my binder in my right hand, my bag hung off my left shoulder as I tried to get to my locker as quickly as possible. Man, it's so hot in here and I'm exhausted from all my exams I've taken and it's only Tuesday.
End of the year problems.
I walked alone, people always turned to stare at me, whispering to everyone wondering who I was going to sleep with next.
I always kept to myself and yet everyone still knew everything and nobody was ever on my side.
My blue painted finger nails turned the lock in about three seconds. I seriously had the easiest locker combination. 0, 30, 0.
"What's up baby cakes?" Brian's voice got a hold of me and woke me up from my thoughts. "Hey," I turned to one of my friends; I guess you could call him my friend. He sits with me and Kate at lunch. He is friends with my brother's friends and my lab partner, Sebastian.
I think Brian has feelings for me though, I may like him a little bit too. "Would you wanna maybe get some ice cream tonight? They're opening the shop up for the season."
"Yeah, sure." I smile at him and he looks down at the floor, then his blue eyes meet with my green. "I was just gonna go home and watch some movies, this gives me something to look forward too now."
"I'm sorry your brother-"
"Step brother." I correct him and he forces a smile. "I know you two used to be close. I think it's really cool you're from America. Sebastian told me that."
