"Shh shh shh," Spencer cooed. Frantically, he scooped his sibling up into his arms and rocked them back and forth.
Y/n shook more violently, desperately looking into their brother's wet eyes.
Spencer stroked their hair. "Shhhhh. Stop fighting. It's okay." Spencer swallowed a sob. "It's okay. I love you."
Y/n slowly let their hands off their wound, sliding them into Spencer's waiting hand.
"Goodnight, sweet prince," Spencer choked out, kissing his baby sibling's moist forehead for the last time. "Goodnight."
