If you guys want more parts then comment on the story and I'll get working. Until then, here. And sorry about it being so short and crap.
-AI walked into the cafe and sighed, turning my phone on and thinking to myself 'thank god this place has wifi', and so I went on a bunch of my social media. It was only 5:00 AM so I didn't really expect anybody to have posted. I finally finished my drink and looked at the time. 5:10. I went over the counter through the little gate we had and I put one of the aprons on and a hat, tying my hair up and waiting to take orders. I decide to take the early and late shifts, because that's when there are the most people. I don't know why, but it helps my pay. The bell dinged at the door, meaning someone walked in already. "Hi, what would you like?"
"Um... is there anything you recommend?" The person looked around for a table that wasn't easy to spot and he looked back at me. I guessed it was a he because of the voice.
"Well... we serve great pancakes and we make good tea? That might get you started for the day."
The person nodded, said "Thanks" and went to our most hidden table. I raised an eyebrow but shrugged. His order was ready quite soon and I placed it on the table. The person lifted their hood from their face and let it fall down to their neck, he gave me a smile and said "cheers", eating the food.
I sat down. "Have we met before..?" I asked. The person just smiled, shaking their head.
"No. I'm just the friendly neighbourhood Tom."
I pointed at him after clicking my fingers. "Bingo!"
He chuckled. "What?"
"I know who you are.. but I wanted to start a conversation."
"um.."
"Gotta say you did well as Spider-Man."
I swear if I start fangirling now I'm just gonna jump from the Empire State Building.
"I think you're the most casual person about it."
"Trust me, I'm not. It's just that you seem tired and I'm pretty sure I saw a stampede running by." I joked. He just chuckled.
"They're not like that.."
Oh, the Hollanders? Have you met all of them?
"I guess not." I took his plate when he was done eating and put it on the counter, fetching some more tea for him.
"Cheers, love."
I swear to god-
"No problem. You can stay here as long as you like, dude." He gave a sigh of appreciation and continued to drink his tea. I continued to wash the plate and then I saw two or three people waiting for an order. "I'm so sorry, we had a bit of a hold up!" The people nodded, too tired to argue or complain. I got their orders ready, served them, got other people's orders ready, served some more people. The usual morning shift. My shift ended and I sighed, heading over to Tom who was still sat at his seat. He handed in the cup a while ago. I took my apron off and set it down next to me when I sat down. "Hey."
"Hello."
"You know you can go back outside."
"I left my key inside and everyone's out.."
"Damn.. well, you can stay at mine while you wait?""That would be lovely."
