Ok, so for Christmas I gave this girl I used to note take for a copy of Throne of Glass cos it was on her to read list.
******SPOILERS********
So I spoke to her the other day and she said she's on like chapter 35. She's not keen on the writing like too much description or something (her opinion) but she likes the plot. And wait for it.... She hopes that Celaena and Chaol end up together because she thinks Dorian is cocky. But OMG SHE'S ROOTING FOR CHAOL!! I CANNOT WAIT FOR HER TO READ COM AND THEN HOF. Wait til she meets Rowan!!!! She said she will read the next books to find out what happens.
I thought something similar when I first read ToG but then when Celaena reached the castle it was easier to get into but looking back SJMs writing has improved (She said that on her tour too). Like the way EoS is written compared to ToG is much more beautiful and clever.
Also... *****SPOILERS******
Mum's reading ACOTAR in her spare time. She's at the part where Feyre has just met Lucien (She's a very slow reader although she's been reading more at weekends lately). And she was like "It's like beauty and the beast" and I told her get to book 2 (ACOMAF) and you'll see how it's a backwards telling of it. And then she was like "yeah of course she's going to end up with Tamlin, he's too good to be true"
OMG OMG OMG!!! I CANNOT WAIT TIL SHE MEETS RHYS!!! SHE'S GOING TO LOVE HIM!!!
She also thought fae meant they were all magical wolves and I explained how they are all different so now she understands. This is her first sort of fantasy magical book. She tends to read the more real life, my child died or my sister is missing kind of stories.
But I cannot wait for them to read more!!! 😂😂😂😂
