Ok, Sarah's announced her UK dates for Cresent City the book tour.
Birmingham is completely sold out and London only has the expensive tickets left.
£30 for:
- badge
- special copy of the book
- gold stamp to personalise the book
- a raffle to meet sarah (winners announced before the event)
But on her previous tours I got all of that for half the price!!
It cost me £15 per ticket to see SJM last time and still get the merch. This time £15 tickets are admission only.
Because of this, I will not be able to go. All the £15 admission only tickets have sold out and I cannot afford £60 for me and my mum to go (plus travel costs).
Also, she only has 2 dates for the UK and 3 for the US. I know she has a baby etc but it would be nice to have an explanation for the rest of the country.
I think Sarah isnt aware of the ticket prices as it is being hosted by Waterstones in the UK (not sure of the US), but that pricing is unfair.
If I was to ever do book tours, I would try to remember this scenario and ensure that ticket prices were fair.
