So I finished it the other day but couldn't post anything cos other things made me busy, however, this is what I thought about ToD.

Ok so we have Chaol and his injuries:
His typical "I hate myself" and "Dorian (×10000000)" but I feel like by the end he was more like himself in the very first book.

New characters:
Sartaq - knew he would be on their side
Kashin - I doubted but am glad he came through
Hasar - one minute I was like she's either Aelin's new bff or they are going to clash and when she pulled that stunt in the desert on Yrene and Chaol, I couldn't believe how b****y she was. Im glad Yrene pushed her in the pool!
Yrene - I am so glad that she turned out to be a strong woman and didn't back down from Chaol after he hurt her.
Nesryn - So she's not really new but I am glad that she wasn't just another follower and that she went out and did something, and the information she found out (ill mention later) and can we please take a second to realise that if her and Sartaq survive, she could be Empress.
Falkan - I didn't trust him at first but then he helped Nesryn and Sartaq and when he said about having a niece or nephew, I was praying Nesryn would realise it's Lysandra.
Borte - she was a strong character, cannot wait for her and Aelin to meet.
Ferkan - hope both he and Borte make it.
Shen - let's hope he's going north too.
Duva - I have to admit I didn't see it coming, I guessed that the royal children or the khagan had something to do with the valg but not a heavily pregnant princess, cleverly done.

So the stygian spiders - Aelin's spidersilk might come into play in the final book?? It won't be just valg and Maeve to fight then.

Now we know why Erawan chose their world.

And Maeve as a Valg queen? I called it!!! My theory was that she had a valg possessing her or that she was a sister to Erawan. Turns out they're married. I just KNEW she was valg!

We need Nox to appear in the final book. And any other competitors (so Aelin can laugh in their faces).

We need Lysandra to meet Falkan.

Rowan to free Aelin.

Deafeat all the evil forces.

I wonder if Aelin will be moved to where those spiders are waiting so everyone has travelled north when they should travel south? Perhaps the war will be fought in both continents? I doubt it but maybe Maeve is misunderstood? (Completely doubt it)
