Ok so I was re reading Assassin's Blade and just have a few things to discuss with you guys.
All rights Sarah J Maas.
Who remembers Captain Fairview and Captain Blackgold? (Page 35)
They were sailing the slave ships that Sam and Celaena rescued. Well...what happened to them? They got the slaves out and then what??
Whilst they were with Rolfe they learnt that Adarlan were "buying slaves" and they thought that was weird since that's where they sent 'criminals' (who were actually innocent). Page 36
This led me to think that the mines could play a part in KoA other than just the emotional background for Aelin.
After learning about the slaves Celaena runs off to the beach to 'cool' off foreshadowing her fire powers that at that point in time before HoF she couldn't control.
Then Sam tackles her (Page 38/39) and this reminded me of Rowan tackling her.
Remember it's on the beach. She walks further down to a more secluded bit (Where in EoS the magic happens) and looks towards Terrasen but can smell Pine and Snow whilst standing on the bit where her and Rowan you know...
Page 44.
Sam says about running away together just before she looks to Terrasen and mentions how she hasn't been there in eight years. It hints at her thinking about running home with Sam but she smells Terrasen/Rowan which is her destiny and decides not to (just like Rowan helps her in HoF)
The slave ships were called:
Golden Wolf and Loveless.
Just gonna leave that there.Who remembers Dia from the slaves? The translator? If everyone in Assassin's Blade are returning what about them?
When Celaena teaches Yrene self defence she says to teach any female that will listen. She could have said woman but she didn't. If you read Assassin's Blade first then this is more foreshadowing.
Page 108.That's all I could note down for now cos of dinner, unpacking and packing, and my cat who is desperate for attention.
I came home from Scotland (the car broke down in Edinburgh and almost missed graduation). Made it to graduation and didn't trip! Yay! Then saw Sky Scraper and Mamma Mia 2. Now going to spend 4 days at this getaway house thing (not by my choice).
If I missed anything leave it in the comments 😊
