Chapter 11
A couple of days later and it was already Wednesday. I soon found out that Bailey was different and we had plans to meet up at the corner shop this afternoon after to school. Okay, so it wouldn't technically be 'meeting up' when we were walking there together.
"So, Jai. You're a singer and you came third on The X Factor, right?" she asks.
"Yup, and you're my ex-girlfriends twin sister, right?." I say.
"Yup." She says imitating my words.
"What did Celia, or shall I say Victoria, look like?" She asks and I show her a selfie she took on my cracked phone when she was bored one time. It was a nice photo of her.
"She's gorgeous and looks nothing like me. She looks more like Jack." She says and I nod.
"Yeah. That's what I always said, but Celia denied ever knowing Jack." I say and she giggles.
"Oh my gosh. Is that Jai Waetford?" I hear a familiar girls voice say and I turn my head to look who it was and just as I thought, it was Taylor Gleeson being annoying again.
"Why do you do that?" I ask and she laughs.
"Cause, being a Waetforder would be fun!" She says and I look at her in a weird way.
"Hey. Who's this?" She asks.
"This is Bailey. Bailey this is Taylor." I indroduce the girls. They both say 'Hi' and then Taylor leaves.
"Well, that was weird." Bailey says and I nod.
"She does that a lot." I say and we continue to walk to the corner shop. We decide that the corner shop was just a weird place to go, so we went to the skate park.
"Aren't you worried that you'll get mobbed or something?" She asks as we sit on one of the park benches.
"No. It's my home town. The media aren't allowed to come near me in my home town if I am under the age of 18." I say and she nods, again.
"But what about fans?" She asks.
"I don't have that many fans in Campbeltown. Only a couple hundred fans here, so I don't get seen as much as I would in the middle of Sydney or somewhere like that." I say and she sucks in all the information.
"So, what do you do for fun? Like hobbies or talents?" I ask and she glances at me.
"Nothing really. I like shopping, skateboarding and surfing. But nothing like performing arts or anything like that." She says. Wow. Her and Celia are completely different. I tried teaching Celia how to surf one time, all she did was fall off.
*Flashback*
"Just stand with your like feet apart and keep your legs bent." I say and help Celia up onto the board. You would think as a dancer she would be great at balance... I was wrong.
"This is more difficult than I thought!" Celia says and the board starts to move forward in the water as I let go and she falls off almost straight away.
*BY THE WAY I KNOW NOTHING ABOUT SURFING. SORRY IF I'M WRONG ABOUT THIS PART!*
I run in the water to her and grab the board before it floats away.
"Are you okay?" I ask between laughs as I laugh at her clumsiness.
"I'm great!" She says and springs further out of the water.
"Your funny." I say and she laughs.
"And that's why you love me!" She says with a smile.
*Flashback over*
"Jai. Are you okay? You've been staring off into the distance for the past three minutes and it's kinda creepy." Bailey says and I am pulled back to the present.
"Yeah, I'm fine." I say as I look at her in the eyes. She had amazing brown eyes.
"Are you sure?" She asks.
"Yeah, I'm sure." I say and she smiles, so I smile back at her.
"Do you like me?" Bailey asks.
"As a friend, yeah. You're pretty cool." I say and she nods, awkwardly.
"Just a friend?" She asks.
"Yeah, well. We are friends, right?" I say.
"Yeah, right. I better go. See you tomorrow." She says and leaves. Did she mean? She must understand that she's my ex-girlfriends twin sister, right?
