Chapter 14
Before Bailey goes home I decide to log onto Instagram and take a selfie with her. It was a nice photo too. A lot of people asked if we were dating, I didn't answer. I didn't exactly have an answer.
"Bye, Jai." She says and hugs me.
"Bye." I say and she walks out of my house. I spent that afternoon alone. It was... Nice. I liked being around people, but it was great to lay on bed, listen to music and slowly fall asleep.
Two months go by, nothing changes between me and Bailey, and still no contact from Celia. Jack moves to London again, Bailey moved in with her aunty on the other side of Campbeltown so I don't see her as much. Which really sucks, but now everyone knows that we are friends because we hang out at school. Which is okay. I released a new album. Got #1 for 4 weeks. I'm pretty happy about it.
"Will you go out with me?" I ask Bailey as we sit on different sides of my room. She looks up at me and looks me in the eyes just as someone knocks on my door.
"Jai, you have a letter." My mum says as she comes through the door.
"Who from?" I ask.
"I don't know. It's anonymous." She says, Bailey walks up to me and looks over my shoulder at the letter.
Jai. I thought I would take my free time to send a letter. I miss you like hell. I never stop thinking about you. I understand if I ever come back things won't be the same. I wish I could text you or message you on Twitter, but it's for a good reason why I don't. We also can't allow anyone to know my address.... Including you, sadly. I wish I could hear your voice. See you. Which I do, on the internet, like a lot.
I heard about Bailey, she seems like a nice person. I have talked to Jack a lot lately and he told me that you guys were sort of together. Which is great. I'm happy for you.
I live in France now, everyone knows me as the 'shy one' at my school. It's horrible. No one recognises me at all, which is a good thing. I needed to leave Australia, but I miss it. :(
I hope to hear from you, Jack is able to send it for you. I'm so sorry. I didn't say goodbye and I know it hurt, it hurt me too. This is the hundredth time I have written this letter and still sounds horrible, imperfect. Like literally there is 99 pieces of paper scattered on my floor and my small desk.
I feel stupid. Anyways, how are you? I hope you know that is completely fine you have a new girlfriend. I just need to know you have moved on properly... I guess. Errrrr. I suck at writing letters, I rather text or at least email. Wow, this is getting worser as I write. Erg. Bye.
Love, Victoria.
"Wow. That was something." Bailey says and I look up at her.
"I didn't expect that." I say. I read the whole letter in her voice.
"Do you miss her?" She asks.
"Of course, I do." I answer and continue to look into her eyes as I stand up.
"Do you like me?" She asks.
"Would I have asked you to date me and would I have kissed you if I didn't?" I ask and she shrugs.
"If course I like you, Bailey." I say and she smiles.
"I like you too, Jai." She says.
"So, you will be my girlfriend?" I ask.

Short chapter but I wanted to leave it with a cliffhanger.... WHAHAHA...
