Chapter 13

It was Saturday so we decided that she would come over my place. She lives with Jack and He gets protective of his little sister. He doesn't like her hanging out with boys, even though it's only me.

"How many girlfriends have you had?" She asks while looking into my eyes as I look into hers.

"Why?" I ask.

"Just asking." She says. Theres a long silence before I speak up.

"3. How many boyfriends have you had?" I ask and she just glances at me for a second.

"None." She admits.

"Oh. That's okay though. It's not the end of the world. Your only young, right?" I say and she nods.

"Yeah. I guess so." She says. Another awkward silence erupts and I am left there laying next to her on the grass.

"Do you think Celia will ever come back?" She asks and at the sound of her name my heart sinks. I didn't answer. I felt like bursting out in tears, but I would look like a baby. Really, I don't want Bailey thinking I am baby.

"W-well, yeah. I do. But I think I have finally moved on from her." I say and look at Bailey.

"So, who's the lucky girl?" She asks with a smile as I look at her quickly.

"I can't tell you, exactly." I say.

"Why not?" She says, acting all offended. I glance at her and don't reply.

"Wait..." She says and sits up. Kind of on her side so she is facing me.

"You didn't reply because?...." She starts to say, but doesn't continue.

"Yes, Bailey. I didn't reply because." I say and she smiles as I look up into her eyes. She doesn't reply, she just smiles.

"I like you, Jai. I like you a lot." She says and I smile. I cover my eyes with my arm and I hear her lay back down next to me. She grabs my free hand next to her and intwines our fingers together. This girl.... she was perfect.

"Okay." I say.

"Okay." She replies quickly. Even though she reminded me of Celia, Bailey made me forget about her in the best of times. After that day we were closer than ever, we practically weren't dating, but kind of were at the same time. We always hung out after school, but during school we didn't know each other. No one knew about our friendship and that's what I loved about it, but my friends have started getting suspicious and I'm not surprised.

"Jai. Do you have a girlfriend?" Trent asked.

"No. Why?" I ask.

"Because all of the girls in Australia from the age of 8 or 9 to like I don't know 16 or 17 has a crush on you and you're still single." He says and I chuckle.

"Well, I don't have a crush on every single girl I see, now do I?" I say. I didn't want to tell them about Bailey, she was special to me and we had a special friendship. I wanted to be the only guy in her life, even though that was currently immposible, I was probably the only guy that was special to her in her life, or at least I hoped I was.

"There is someone though, isn't there? You do have a crush on someone, don't you?" Trent says. He's always been like this.

"Well..." I start to say, but Trent doesn't let me continue.

"JAI HAS A GIRLFRIEND!" He almost yells in an excited way.

"Trent! She's not my girlfriend. She's my friend that is a girl." I say.

"Oh, but you have a crush on her though, right?" He questions. I look at him in a 'wtf?' way and he continues to ask until I answer.

"Okay! Yes, I have a crush on her." I say.

"What's her name?" He asks.

"I'm not telling you, besides, you don't have a girlfriend." I say with a smirk. He used to date this girl called Amanda, but she dumped him for some famous model or something.

"Shut up, Waetford." He says and the bell rings. After school Bailey comes over, like always and we hang out in my room, listening to music and talking and stuff.

"Can I call you ducky?" She asks, randomly.

"Why?" I say and we look at each other at the same time.

"Because, you always make that cute duck face, like that pout thing you do. Is that a duck face?" She says and I smile.

"I don't know, I don't think so actually." I say.

"Well, I just want to have a cute nickname for you. I thought ducky was cute and so I had to make up a reason." She says and I smile.

"Yeah, sure." I say and she smiles. Later on, we sat on my bed, I watched her play my guitar. Her hair perfectly draped in front of the red guitar as she looked to see if her fingers were in the right place, of course they already were, but she always double checked things.

"Bailey." I say and she looks up at me.

"Yeah." She says as I look at her in the eyes. I lean in a lightly kiss her.

"Wow. Ducky you really do have a romantic touch." She says with a smirk.

"Uh... thanks?" I question and she nods.

Heyyy...

Wow. I really suck at kissing scenes. I'm sorry.... not really but I don't know.

I also really suck a nicknames. I mean his pout doesn't even like a duck, does it?

And Bailey, wow that was really cheesy.....
