Chapter 26- Lying six feet underground

Paige Galena P.O.V

I stared at my hand as blood trickled down it. Draco was gaping in shock while I tried my hardest to heal the cut. I couldn't, meaning I had lost my powers and the one thing that would always keep me safe. "When?" Draco queried his voice echoing through the room loudly. "The last time I could use them was when we were on the Luna tour. When I was healing them." I answered watching his fist clench. I cleaned off my arm off waiting to see what his reaction was, at this point, I would not be surprised if he shifted. "What do we do about it?" he questioned before walking over to me and putting his arms around my waist. He pulled me close to him and I whispered softly in his ear "We do nothing. I will be okay. Now we have a council meeting to get to." He growled but I just laughed and left to go get ready.

We entered the council room, sat in our chairs and the Duke whose name I forgot began to speak "Alpha King are you going to explain what the bloody heck happened with the moon goddess the other day?" Draco's face hardened and he went from fun Father of my children to stone cold Alpha King. Violet Carter cleaned up after the duke by explaining "I think what Duke Hamilton meant to ask was why did the moon goddess come here and thank your mate? Why did the birth rate of boys to girls equal after you visited the packs? What did she mean when she said Paige is blessed." I looked at Draco and he raised his eyebrows asking me in our nonverbal cues if he should spill all. I nodded and he answered "Paige was gifted with powers that gave her the ability to cure almost everything. When I told her that she would have to go around all the packs and shake the hand of every member. She saw this as a perfect opportunity to cure all women of the disease that plagued our pack with miscarriages. She no longer has the powers for anyone curious."

Gasps ran through the room while Draco looked proud and smug. They looked at me while shock and amazement shined in their eyes. "Do any of the children have these powers?" asked Kitty's father in law. "No. We tried but none of them possess such powers." Draco blatantly lied but I am overjoyed that he did. This pack will know of her powers over my dead body. The pack meeting continued, as usual, talking over the pack politic that filled up our everyday pack lives. "You will have to meet my siblings for our continental Alpha meeting in a few months Rapunzel" he whispered in my ear when this meeting came up at our meeting. I just nodded and let it go in one ear and out the other.

Sonia Edwards P.O.V

Max held me in his lap while we sat on his private jet on our way to Shanghai. It was his sisters year to hold the continental Alpha meeting that I was dragged off to every three years. Every since that sweet young girl saved my life I couldn't wait for this meeting so I could meet her again. Max's arms wrapped tighter around my waist so I could be even closer to him. I have been doing my research on her gift and it has similarities to mine. Despite the actual power being different we still had plenty of things alike. We both had been kissed by the moon goddess, we both had an amazing power/curse and we were both mated to kings. She once had a wolf but I was human all along. You see I haven't forgotten a single moment of my life since that day when the moon goddess kissed me.

"We are landing Max. Please release me before you crush my internal organs." I asked sarcastically while he just tightened his iron grip on me. He released me for a moment so I could make my way to the private car we had. When sitting in the car I was pulled into his side while he asked: "When did my brother Draco and his mate Paige finish the luna tour?" Sometimes he uses me as his personal data storage system but none the less I replied "They returned four months ago and since they have gone about there mundane lives. Excluding their sons mate moving in next door and some huge drama that happened on their first few days home like when the moon goddess visited them." He nodded and continued to flick through his paperwork.

We were walked into a huge meeting room that was obviously designed by Autumn. A lover of the modern and simple things unlike the rest of her siblings who all have very different styles. Sitting around the table was Alpha Autumn of Asia and her mate Tim Simmons, Alpha Edmund of South America, Alpha Alexis of Australasia and Antarctica with her mate Media Akuji, Alpha Draco of Europe with his mate Paige Galena, and last but not least Alpha Fredrick of Africa. I was about to sit in one of the seats when Max being the cheeky bastard that he is, pulled me onto his lap. I just rolled my eyes instead of putting up a fight and making a scene. "Before you have a huge fight about your pointless sibling rivalry I would just like to say thank you to Paige Galena. Thank you for saving my life, I would be lying six feet underground if it weren't for you so once again thank you." I said and this caused every Alpha except Draco to growl for calling their fight pointless. I just lay my head on Max's shoulder and took some painkillers in preparation for the killer headache I was about to get from all of their shouting.

Hey, so did you remember the girl from earlier that Paige cured, that is Siona Edwards. She might one day have her own book as she has a very good backstory. You met the rest of Draco's siblings, well you know their names. The council found out about Paige's powers and they kinda flipped. This was kinda a boring odd chapter but oh well. I feel like my writing in this book has only gotten worse and worse. The book will finish soon and I will move onto a new project. Do you guys actually want sequels because I will write them if you want them. Comment whose story you want a sequel of and I will try to do it. I got a new laptop today and I never ended up finishing this on my old laptop. Oh well as the new chapter has just made me so much more passionate for writing. Plus it is so easy to write on the keyboard. This is the fifth chapter that I have saved up for a Saturday to be published. I am sorry about the short chapter but I felt it was a good place to finish. Is it just me or are my chapters getting shorter and shorter. I don't know, you tell me. (1225 words.)
