Chapter 27- All went blank

Paige Galena P.O.V

It had been around three weeks since we had gotten back from the Alpha meeting and I made a new friend with the girl who I cured of cancer, Sonia Edwards. We really hit it off and I can't wait to see her again. To be completely honest she reminds me of Brianna. Anyway, I was walking around the gardens with Amoretta. She was the sweetest little girl who was skipping around the beds of flowers happily. She reminds me of myself in a way before my Aunt died. I have started walking around with Amoretta every day and it is a struggle. The girl is a delight but ripping her away from my son and her older sister is a real challenge. It took hours of convincing to let me take her the first time and Enzo followed us while in wolf form. I now take the triplets to the pack house while me and Amoretta go on our daily strolls. Either way, it had become a pleasant daily routine and I had gotten to know Amoretta very well.

I saw Kitty walking along the lawn approaching me and my mood when from peaceful to furious in seconds. She approached me and snarled "My mate is gone, I live in the worst city in the world and it is all your fault. I am going to kill the little girl first and after you have watched the girl bleed to death I will kill you." I started walking towards her when she pulled out a gun and she pointed it Amorettas head. My heart stopped when I imagined Amoretta bleeding to death on the ground. I saw her load the gun and I made a choice that no one should ever have to make. I jumped in front of a moving bullet. As cliche as this sounds, I saw my life flash before as blood gushed from my stomach. I saw Kitty running away as I croaked at Amoretta "Tell him he was the love of my life. Tell my children they were the best thing to ever happen to me. Make sure they know they are loved and that I want them to be happy." I could no longer speak because of the pain and when I closed my eyes all went blank.

Draco Stildolph P.O.V

Amoretta ran it the house and I automatically noticed something was wrong when I saw the blood on her hands. "Paige is hurt" she screamed in between sobs and I was sprinting outside in a second. I saw Paige lying on the lawn while her hair covered her like a blanket. I collapsed next to her body and that is when I saw the blood. I couldn't breathe, it was like my heart had just stopped. I raised my shaking hands to her neck to feel for a pulse but I couldn't find one. I checked her wrist and her chest for a pulse while loud sobs began coming out of my mouth. "This is a prank. There has to be a pulse. Rapunzel tell me this is just a cruel prank. Please Rapunzel, please." I wailed while cradling her body in my arms I felt her blood soaking me and I knew it was over. My wolf wailed in agony and soon enough I had shifted into my wolf. I curled into the side of her warm body while my wolf howled.

Brianna Tui P.O.V

I heard the cry of an Alpha and I ran to Paige and Draco's house. I entered and the first thing I saw was Amoretta. I saw Amoretta crying, covered in blood with one of her arms pointing towards the glass doors that lead to the garden. I ran through them to see a sight that will forever be burned into every corner of my mind. There lay Paige, but Paige covered in blood with Draco's wolf howling. It was obvious that she was dead and that Draco would never recover. I felt tears run down my face mourning the only true best friend I have ever had. I mind linked everyone in the entire Europe pack "The Luna is dead." thousand of howls were let off around the continent and I threw my head back, joining them.
