The Promise Ring Part 1

-Rachel’s (POV)-

-Ring Store-

Dani and I are at a ring store looking for a promise ring for Santana when Dani told me that she wanted to get her one I was really excited. I’m also very happy that she asked me to help her.

Rachel: Do you know what size of ring she wears?

Dani: Yes size seven.

Rachel: How did you figure that out without giving it away?

Dani: I had Quinn talk to her about rings and I told Quinn to tell Santana that she wanted to get friendship rings.

Rachel: Aren’t you sly?

Dani chuckles a little.

Dani: Hey I got to keep my girl on her toes right?

Rachel: Yeah.

Dani and I continue to look at the rings.

-Santana’s (POV)-

-Dani and Santana’s Apartment-

I walk into the apartment and hang my jacket up.

Santana: Baby I’m home.

I don’t hear anything. I walk through the apartment and I don’t see Dani anywhere. I take my phone out and text her.

S: Hey baby where are you?

D: Hi babe I’m out with Rachel she didn’t want to be home alone so I picked her up so we could do something.

S: Oh what are you guys up to?

D: Oh you know lunch, shopping, and chatting.

S: Yeah that defiantly sounds like something Berry would like doing.

D: Mhm. Did you just get home?

S: Yes.

I go to my room and open drawer I grab some clothes and get out of my work uniform.

D: How was work without me?

S: Boring I didn’t have anyone to talk to well I mean Quinn was there but she isn’t as fun as you.

D: Awe that’s sweet.

S: Mhm and do you know want to know what the weirdest thing that happened today?

D: Hmm what?

S: Quinn was asking what size of ring that I wear because she wants to get me a friendship ring.

D: Oh maybe she just wants to show people that you guys are best friends.

S: Usually you get your best friend a friendship bracelet or a necklace not a ring.

D: Don’t you know that rings are in now?

S: Oh really?

D: Uh-huh.

S: So that means that you would get Rachel a ring?

D: Why would I get Rachel a ring?

S: Because she is your best friend right?

D: I guess you can say that.

S: Well would you get her a ring just because she is your best friend?

D: Yes I would.

S: You would?

D: Yes I would but um, I have to go Rachel needs help with something.

S: Okay. I’ll see you later.

D: See you.

I sigh and stick my phone back into my pocket I know something is going on I just don’t know what. I sit on the couch and turn on the TV,

-Dani’s (POV)-

-Ring Store-

I put my phone back into my pocket I walk up to Rachel.

Rachel: Was that Santana?

Dani: Yeah.

Rachel: What did she have to say?

Dani: She just wanted to know where I was and she told me that it was kind of weird that Quinn wanted to get her a friendship ring.

Rachel: She didn’t figure it out did she?

Dani: No she didn’t.

Rachel: Good.

I nod my head and we continue to look at the rings I see this ring that has a single diamond on it and it’s a dark pink I smile.

Dani: Excuse me can I that ring?

Store Clerk: Of course.

The store clerk opens the glass case and takes out the ring and hands me the ring. I take it and look at it.

Dani: What do you think?

Rachel: It’s beautiful.

Dani: Can I get this?

Store Clerk: Of course you can.

I pay for the ring the store clerk puts it into a box than into a bag.

Dani: Thank you.

Store Clerk: You’re welcome.

Rachel and I walk out of the store.

-Outside-

I look at the time and sigh.

Dani: I have to get to NYADA.

Rachel: So do I.

Dani: Well lets walk together.

Rachel: Okay.

Rachel and I head to NYADA.
