Carson led her to a carraige, and began to tell her everything. "As Jace probably told you, I work for the most powrful person. Someone who has lived 5000, and who's power is unmatched. He can kick Jace's ass any day.". "Do I get to know his name.....?" Kara asked. Carson smiled and said "He likes to introduce himself.". Kara nodded and said "So how are you planning on getting me back home?". "Easy, take you through a portal and just deliver you back home. It's simple". "If it's so simple then why did they keep me here" Kara said, playing along. "Probably wanted to use you in some sort of plan. Probably to kill you and make an example of you or somthing". Kara looked down and said. "So where are we going?". "A secret place." Carson said, sitting back and shutting his eyes. "A place that Jace would give anything to go"

Kara must have fell asleep on the way because she woke up right as the carriage stopped. "Was i sleeping" she asked. "Well yes, but not on your own will. I had to put you to sleep. I can't just give away our location." "Oh" Kara said, feeling violated. "Sorry" Carson smirked. He opened the door for her and helped her out. "Welcome to our secret palace".

"It's a rock" Kara said flatly, looking at the large boulder in front of a cliff. "Thats what everyone thinks" Carson said, shaking his finger. He walked up to the rock, and like Jace, kicked it three times. He motioned for Kara to come around the side. They walked up a small path, and Carson stopped suddenly. He went behind a small boulder and motioned again for Kara to come back. There, behind a small boulder, whre no one would ever look, was an enterance. An encterance to an underground cave. Kara smirked and followed him down.

It was a long walk, through twisted and turning caverns with sparkling black rocks lining the sides of the caverns. They finally came to a stop at what was almost like a balcony with no railing. On the side was a swairwell leading down. Kara gasped out loud when she saw what lay below. Carson smirked. Lying below was a city. Completely underground. Green pieces of rock which looked like lanterns lit up the city, and hanging lanterns of white light illuminated below. There were beautiful sprawling houses made of rock carved into the side, and houses made of rock all across the cave. The most breathtaking structure was the castle. Half of it was carved into rock, and the other half built from rock. It had twists and turns and angles so breathtaking. It was light up by green rocks, and it reminded Kara of the emerald city from the wizard of oz. "What are you staring at? Let's go" Carson said, beckoning to her. "Someone down there really wants to meet you".

They walked down the narrow staircases until they reached the bottom of the giant cavern. The city was even more breathtaking from the bottom. Women and children, dressed in magnificant bright colors, walked through the streets dancing to music. When they reached the castle, Carson looked at Kara. "What do you think of the city so far?" "Its absolutely amazing" she breathed, looking up at the ceiling. "But why is it underground?". "We need to be hidden. If Jace found us he would wipe out our entire civilization. We're just waiting for the right time to strike". "It's interesting being on the other side for once" Kara said. " I always thought you were the bad side, and we were the good side.". "There is no good side Kara"

The inside of the castle was black rock, with intricatly carved figures lining the walls. "Quick history lesson" Carson said. "This city belonged to an ancient family, and it was used in case of invasion. The towns would slowly migrate here, and hide until it was safe to come out". "Thats amazing" Kara said. "Ive never seen anything like it". "Carson!" someone yelled. Carson whirled around and yelled "Heyy buddy!!!". There was no one there. Kara giggled. "Where are you?" Carson yelled. No reply. He waved his hand and turned back towards Kara. "Who was that?" Kara asked, looking around. "Oh just some loser" Carson said. It looked like someone hit him upside the head, but there was no one there. Kara arched her eyebrows. "Well you can do walk around the city or castle for a little while, because I have to go do something" Carson said. "Enjoy yourself"

He left so quickly, and Kara didn't know what to do. "Excuse me miss, are you lost?" asked a servant girl. She was small and thing, with long dark hair and white skin. "Well, kind of. Carson.....well he kind of left me here so..." her voice trailed off. "Oh Master Carson!" the girl exclaimed. "Well, I can show you around the city if you want! I just ended work!" she smiled at Kara. "That would be great! I really have no idea where I am...." Kara said. "Your in the city of lights! The most ancient and undiscovered city in the world." the girl said. "I'm Petra"

Petra showed Kara all around the city, and showed her the most beautiful places. "This city is full of ancient carvings and secret hideaways" she said, leading Kara back to the castle. "It's an amazing place to live, and I love it so much here" she said looking up towards the sky. "It's unbelievable" Kara said. After a silence Petra spoke. "Kara.....can I ask you something" she said quietly, pulling at a loose thread from her shirt. "Sure" Kara said, almost nervously. "Whats he like...." she said, shuddering. "What's who like" Kara said, stopping. Petra stopped too and turned around. "Jace..." she said her voice trailing off. "Growing up, I've heard horrible things about his family, and things he's done. I just wanted to know...is he really as bad as what they say?". Kara took a deep breath before speaking. "When I first met him, he was rude and arrogant and awful towards me. Then....he changed. And then he changed back......except this time he was worse." She stopped and looked down at the ground. All of her emotions that she had buried came flooding out. This time, she didn't cry. She didn't scream or hurt. Her heart felt free and light. She would get her revenge. She would be triumphent in the end.
