"We're here" Kara said, as she walked up to the large boulder. "Kara.....sweetheart....it's a rock" Jace said from behind her, twirling his sword. Norrin, Marc, Jasper, Ashe, and Erik stood behind him. They all looked confused and disoriented. Norrins hair was still messy, and he struggled to stay awake. Jace must have sensed it. He whirled around and hissed "GET IT TOGETHER YOU LAZY ASSHOLES. This is the battle that predicts everything. If we lose this, WE ALL DIE.". That seemed to wake everyone from their trance. Kara turned back around and kicked the boulder three times. She then proceeded to walk to the smaller boulder, with everyone following her. The cavern was opened up, and Kara slipped inside. Jace looked like a little boy on Christmas Day. "I've been dying to see this place ever since I was born..." he breathed, clutching his sword. "Slow down there buddy" Marc said putting his hand on his shoulder. "He gets a little crazy".

When they reached the enterance to the city, Jace pushed past Kara. She looked at him, and saw is mouth drop open when he saw the underground city. The lights were more spectacular then ever, hanging from the ceiling of the cave with sparkles and glimmers. The rest of the boys crowded around, each wearing an awestruck look on their face. "It was underground.." Erik breathed, captivated by the view. "So well hidden..." Jace said coming out of his trance. He looked at Kara and said "If they can hide something as big as this, think of everything else they can hide".

It was about 3:30 a.m now and the city was asleep. The citizins were wrapped up in their sweet dreams, not disturbed by the 7 that roamed the dark alley ways. They slipped in between the darkness, not letting their faces be illuminated by a streak of light. It took them about a half an hour to wind down the twisted back alleys until they arrived at the back of the palace. Kara was suprised when they came to a small door, gaurded by only one man. The same man that had let her through to the pool room. Jace lifted his sword but Kara put her hand on his arm, lowering it. He gave her a look and she stepped forward into the light. "What..." Jace started, grasping her arm and pulling her back. She resisted. The man had caught sight of her, and his eyes widened. "I was expecting you to be back. I see you brought friends". His voice was grim. Kara walked up to him and nodded. The man nodded back and said "You do what you need to do. Make things right. Take them down". With that he stepped to the side and bowed, letting them through.

They were silent while walking through the corridors underground the underground castle. They walked for about 10 minutes, until they heard a clanking noise. Jace turned and said "Who is that", with an annoyed tone. "Sorry..." Erik admitted, raising his sword. "It's just so heavy!" Jace scowled at him and they continued through the tunnel. Soon, they came to a trapdoor in the ceiling. "Here boys, is where we make out enterance" Jace said. "Someone lift me up". Norrin got down and hoisted Jace up, lifting him into the caslte. Kara was next, then Erik, Ashe, Marc and Norrin last. Icy shivers went down Kara's spine as the rememberd the dark hallways. She wrapped her arms around herself and her eyes darted around, sensing danger. Jace must have sensed it too, turning to survey what was around them. Everyone else quickly formed a circle, each gaurding an angle. Thats when it happened. Kara felt something like a bat hit her in the head, and she collapsed on her knees. The thing hit her in the back, sending her sprawling across the hallway. No one was there. "Don't move Kara!!" Jace yelled, holding his sword. She did what she was told. Silence passed. Dead, cold silence. "Kara felt a hand on her shoulder and looked up. No one. Someone came up behind Jace and the rest, and they began to talk ferosciously. Erik stayed looking at Kara. An icy voice whispered in Kara's ear "Why did you try and run from me? It's the first mistake they all make.". A hand grabbed her neck and threw her against the wall. Kara screamed in agony as she was hit again in the stomach. "Sorrin!" Jace commanded, turning towards Kara. "Show yourself. Don't attack while invisible. I thought you were stronger then that". A sillhoutte appeared slowly, and then the tall stature of a male. He was tall, a little taller then Jace. His eyes were a deep crimson red, dripping with revenge. His blond wavy hair hung in front of his eyes, and his silver skin illuminated the hallway. Kara's heart stopped with fear, and she slid down the wall. Erik looked like he was going to pass out. His face had gone as white as snow. Jace, Ashe, Norrin, and Marc looked cool and composed. Jasper looked bored. Carson was the one standing behind Jace, a smirk forming on his face. Everyone just stared in silence for a minute, before Sorrin spoke. "Jace, haven't seen you in a while. Can't say I'm glad". "Same thing to you" Jace growled back. "I see SHE led you here" Sorrin said, turning to Kara with a look of disgust on his face. "So easy to hurt. You think the Isla would be stronger then that". A sick smile formed on his face. Kara managed to stand up, but Sorrin knocked her back down again. "No one told you to stand girl" he hissed as he wiped blood from his hand onto the wall. Kara sat on the floor, her head throbbing. The feeling of naseau quickly passed, and anger filled her heart. Jace looked like he was ready to burn down the whole world. "What do you want with her anyways" Jasper said, stepping forward. "You already have immortality. There isn't anyting else you could possibly have". "Oh but there is" Sorrin hissed. "Something even you, Jasper Finlinday, couldn't even imagine. Something so well hidden for the past 10,000 years, that it's taken me my whole life to find. And now if you'll excuse me" Sorin said, grabbing Kara by the neck. "I'm going to kill her".

Before he could do anything Jace blasted him. Kara screamed as fire bit into her skin and she rolled across the ground and ran towards Jace. He pushed her behind him and sent another blast towards Sorrin, this time blocking him. A woosh of wind knocked Kara off her feet and the whole castle swayed. Behind her, Kara heard the clink of metal and the yelling of Norrin and Marc. Her vision became hazy as she heard someone scream. She heard the sound of a sword pearcing flesh. Her stomach flipped and she managed to get back on her feet. The clinking of metal continued. Kara couldn't make out any fighting. Just shapes darting back and forth. She heard another time, someone being stabbed and an agonized cry. "Sorrin! Help!" Carson yelled as he lay on the ground, bleeding from a blow delivered by Norrin. "Shut up you bastard. I have more important things to do!" Sorrin growled, now taking on Jasper as well as Jace. "Right as Marc was about to deliver Carson's death blow, Kara grabbed his arm and stopped him. With her foot on his neck she bent down and whispered in his ear. "Where are they". Carson, as frightened as anyone could possibly be whispered with the remaning air he had "Third tower, oak chest, red blanket". Kara gave him one last look of pity, and then stomped on his neck. She heard a loud crack, and Marc grabbed her hand. "Third tower. Now".

Half of the castle was already burning by the time Marc and Kara reached the stairwell to the third tower. She heard footsteps behind her, and gripped the sword she had found on the wall. It was Jace. Along with the rest of them. "He disappeared!" Jace yelled over the roaring flames. "He's probably here, gaurding things!" He pushed past them and lunged up the stairs, five at a time. Everyone else followed. The smoke was so dense in the hallways and it was slowly climbing up the staircase. "We don't have much time left!" Ashe yelled over the fire. "The smoke will suffocate the whole city in about 15 minutes!". "Kill him and let's get out!" Jasper said. Kara's mouth dropped open when she saw Jasper. His arm was completely bloody, and looked like it was hanging on a string from his shoulder. He caught her staring and said "Not as bad as it looks". Jace had a hole cut in the front of his shirt, revealing a huge gash. He didn't seem to notice as he lunged up the stairs, a look of determination on his face. When they reached the top of the stairs, they entered a small room. The only thing inside the room was a small chest in the right corner. No one else was inside. Jace began to walk to the center when- BOOM! A large blast sent Kara backwards down the stairs. She held onto a step as another explosion sent shockwaves blasting everything. Regaining her balance, she rushed back up the stairs. Her hand went to her mouth as she saw the gaping hole in the wall created by the explosions, and Sorrin in front of the chest. "Couldn't beat me last time, can't beat me this time!" he laughed as he sent another explosion. Jace and Jasper started fighting, and everything became a whirl. Five soldiers raced up the stairs, and began to attack. Kara screamed as one lugned towards her and began to fight. She was in the middle of battlign when suddenly, the soldier she was fighting stopped. His eyes widened, mouth opened and he fell to the ground. Kara sucked in her breath when she saw who was behind him. Conrad.

"CONRAD???!!!!" Kara stammered quickly. Conrad gave her a look and went to help the others with their battles. No one looked suprised, only happy for the help. Another explosion came from below, and three more soldiers raced up the steps. Suddenly, the largest explosion yet came. The blast sent Kara back against the wall. Her breath wooshed out of her when she hit the wall. She turned and saw Jace crumped against the floor, unconsciours. He was so bloody and looked badly beaten. Jasper had disappeared from sight. Before she could move,  Sorrin grabbed her and hauled her over to where he was. No one else seemed to notice. They were all captivated with their fights, knocking away every death blow. "Little Kara" Sorrin hissed as he threw her against the wall. "Thinking your so tough? Well look around" he forced her head around. Marc and Ashe were cornered. Erik was surrounded. Norrin was lying on the ground with Conrad defending him. Jace on a heap in the floor and Jasper gone. "You actually thought you had any chance of survival? They should have known I would win. I eliminated them.". "Stop! Please" Kara whispered, yearning for air. Sorrin shoved her back against the wall. "Jace didn't know your power. No one but me did. They were all too foolish. And now, their going to pay. Being careless with you just cost them their lives. Your going to bring me more power then you ever imagined" he hissed with a sick smile. He pulled her forward and knocked her head against the wall. Kara felt her eyes roll backward. Second time. She felt her skull crack. Third time. She couldn't feel anything. She tried to reopen her eyes, but everything was fuzzy. Fourth time. The pain was unberable. The last moments of her life. A giant blob of red and orange raced towards her, knocking Sorrin out of sight. Unable to hold herself up, she collapsed. Instead of earth catching her, the felt herself stagger and fall off the tower. Falling into the inevitable darkness.
