CHAPTER #24

#CHAPTER TWENTY-FOUR

"If you're going to say what you want to say, you're going to hear what you don't want to hear." 

"What? How did it happen?" Jesse asked in a low voice. "You performed an operation to her and you didn't tell us she's pregnant." You can see the surprise on their look while Chloe's face was unreadable that Chicago noticed. He held her cold trembling hand to try calm her but even intertwining their fingers, Chloe didn't do.

She's standing there, lifeless.

"We didn't know it yet coz she's on her first days of pregnancy. It's not visible yet. The operation didn't tell us she's pregnant coz there's no sign of it." The doctor explained. "I don't know what you're all thinking now but I hope all of you will be happy for it. For now, if she woke up, you can immediately leave." He smiled at them. "Excuse me." And he walked away.

Jesse was left clueless.

No. It can't be.

"Uhm, Sir." Chicago blurted out. "Chloe and I will just go outside for a while."

"Okay." Mr. Johnny nodded.

Chicago pulled Chloe and the redhead didn't complain. As they walk outside, they're so silent that made Chicago worry.

"You can speak now, Chloe." Chicago said, he's still holding Chloe's hand. They sat to the nearest bench outside the hospital. Afraid that if he let go of her hand, she will fall on the floor. "If they're stopping your emotions inside, I'm letting you vent it out here."

"I don't know what to say..." Chloe said, she's not crying and it's scaring her a lot. "I'm scared."

"Why?"

"I'm scared of what would happen next." Chloe mumbled. "She's everything to me."

"Just do what is right."

"You still do what is right even everything is wrong?" Chloe asked. She's numb at the moment and everything wasn't processing to her yet.

"You need to." Chicago said.

"But I love her..."

"You need to be strong." Chicago smiled at him. "Accept the fact that she's not for you."
