-Chapter One-

Serenity's POV

"Seoul as in Seoul in South Korea, Seoul?" Lexy asks me as we walk home from my last day at school here in England.

"Yep, my stupid mother thinks it's a good idea to ship me off there to be an exchange student" I say and she stops.

"But your only ten? You don't even know how to speak the Korean language"

"I'll have to learn Lex, I don't wanna go but it gets me away from here" I say just as we get to my auntie's house where I've been living for the past five years.

I used to live with my mum but then my little brother was born when I was two and then on my fifth birthday my mum moved me onto my Auntie Amy's house, I didn't even know what was happening I was only five, I mean yeah I'm only ten now but I'm not stupid I actually understand stuff.

"I'm going to miss you" Lexy says hugging me.

"I'll promise I will call you all the time, I just hope my new parents aren't going to be so strict" I say before I pull away from the hug.

"I'll see you later" I wave to her as I run up to the door of the house for probably the last time.

"BYEEE" Lexy shouts as I walk into the house.

"Hey sweetie" my auntie greets me as I walk in the the living room.

"Any news?" Was the first thing I had to ask her and she nods and sits on the sofa before patting the cushion next to her.

"Your mother finally gave me your tickets and the name of the family that's you're going to live with"

I sit next to her and look at the Family picture that was with all the paper work.

"The Im family, mum, dad and son called Jaebum who is fourteen years old" She says pointing to each member of the family.

"Well at least I get that older brother I've always wanted" I laugh and she puts her arm around me and pulls me into a hug. I feel her take a deep breath.

"Hun, I really do wish you could just stay here and live with me" she rests her head on top of mine.

"It's all her fault, it's like she doesn't want me anymore, what did I ever do? I didn't choose to be born" I say and she looks to me.

"She's always been like it, ever since she was your age, just remember you can always come and visit me you don't have to worry about seeing that bitch even though she's your mum" I laugh at the way she talks about her own sister.

"Is everything you want to take packed sweetie?" I just nod and we walk up the stairs towards my room.

"When is my plane?" I ask, she looks down to her feet.

"In just over and hour, we're meeting Mrs Im at the airport and then-" She stops because she started to cry.

I hate this. I'm only ten years old.

Everything got packed into the car and we set off. The drive to the airport was just pure silence. There was a couple of sniffles from us both. I was sat next to Amy as she drove and every so often she would look at me and sigh. This must be so hard for her. I was looking out the window as we drove down the motorway, I started looking at all the signs pointing us towards the airport.

My auntie stopped the car, we both get out and she grabbed my only suitcase, I only had one as I didn't really have a lot of stuff to take with me.

"Come on you" she says messing up my hair.

We both walk into the airport and look around to try and find Mrs Im who notices us first.

"You must be Amy and Serenity Moon?" She questions and I just nod.
