-Chapter Twenty-

Two Days Later

Serenity's POV

"Ren you okay?" Mark gently nudges me.

I slowly blink and turn to look at him. "Yeah, just a little bit nervous" I shuffle in my seat as I wait for the tutor of the course I applied for to come and collect me for the interview.

"You'll do fine, you've already been given the placement you just need to complete the interview to actually be accepted completely" he explains.

"You didn't have to come with me you know" I say looking at one of the many signs around the campus.

"I know, but didn't want you to come alone" I turn my head to look at him so see him smiling.

"But it's your birthday you should be spending it with your family" I explain, he frowns at me.

"You are family, plus they wanted me out the house for a bit" he explains further, I just nod.

He came back to America to spend his birthday with his family not to be sat in a university's reception area waiting for someone to come collect me.

"Serenity Im" I hear someone call. Grabbing a hold of my bag that's got some of my work in it, I stand up.

"Good luck Ren" I hear Mark say, I quickly turn around to see him holding his thumb up which then tuns into a little finger heart.

"Hello" I say as I approach and shake hands with the Woman who must be the tutor of this course. We walk to an office, which must be hers. Walking in I take a seat.

After giving more information to her she types something onto her computer, and then frowns and looks to me. "Sorry if I sound rude or anything, but it says here that you're a born British girl with two Korean patents?" I smile as I nod.

"Yeah, they aren't my biological patents, they are my adoptive parents, my biological mother doesn't really want anything to do with me and I don't know my dad" I explain.

"Ahh I understand" she nods before she continues to write on a piece of paper.

"Unfortunately because of your late submission all of the dorm rooms have been taken bar one, but the girl who you would room with would be in your course, if that okay" she explains and I nod.

For a second there I thought I was gonna get denied.

"So I'm in?" I question as she nods handing me an a piece of paper. I quickly scan it and smile widely because I've been accepted into my dream university.

"Thank you so much" I smile as we both stand up and shake hands once again.

"It's my pleasure, also sorry to ask another question but was that one of the members of GOT7 you were sat next to?" She asks.

"Yep, Mark he's my older brother's best friend"

"I only know as my nephew and niece are obsessed with them" she chuckles.

"Bless, how old they?" I ask. "One is seventeen and her favourite is Yugyeom and the other is nineteen and his favourite is Mark" she says as we walk back to where Mark was.
