-Chapter Nineteen-

Serenity's POV

"Ren" I hear someone whisper into my ear. I open my eyes and turn my head to the left as it the only way I can look to someone.

I see Mark smiling. "What's up?" I ask and he leans forward, to point out the window. My eyes follow his hand, looking out the window to see the Statue of Liberty.

We're here!

I unlock my phone to see Criminal Minds season four episode twenty-four. I check the time only to widen my eyes. "Damn did I really sleep for 10 hours?" I ask myself out loud and Mark hums in response.

"Yeah, even I didn't sleep for that long" he chuckles.

We slowly start to land and I start to feel less paranoid. But when whenever I get on a plane I always think of Phoebe from the American sitcom 'Friends' that is also probably another one of my all time favourite TV shows.

I lean over to Mark who's eyes were glued to his phone. "I can't belive we're here in New York" I whisper in his ear making him jump, he side eyes me.

We eventually get off the car with wings and make our way to collect our suitcases and luggage. Once we had our belongings, we walked towards the exit, side by side.

"MARRRKKK" someone screams, making me jump. I instantly think fan or sasaeng. But no. I look over to Mark to see him hugging a younger guy.

Joey.

I smile to myself at seeing how happy Mark is. He's home. Well sort of. I meant home back in America.

"Hey little miss Rennie!" Papa Tuan says pulling me in for a hug. "How've you been? Haven't seem you since you were what fourteen? Fifteen?" he chuckles and I nod.

"Damn was it really five or six years ago?!" I look at him with a shocked expression.

"Last time I saw you, you were about to go on a date with Taehyung" I smile at his name.

"That would have been five years ago then" I giggle.

Mark lived in LA from when he was born to when he was in his last year of elementary school. They all then moved to Korea so Mark could attend high school there. But the year after Mark had finished high school his family decided to move back to LA, but because Mark was in GOT7 he had to stay as he didn't want to leave the group.

I always used to sit down and talk to him about it all, that's one of the reasons we became closer.

He hardly ever gets to come back to America to see them as either their holidays don't match up or they never get enough time so he can't fly to and from LA. So he would normally spend the holidays at either Yugyeom's house with his parents or he would just stay at the dorm with me whilst JB had alone time with Eomma and Appa as I can see then any time really unlike him, as he has a schedule he needs to sick to.

"The apartment isn't actually that far from here so we can just walk" Papa Tuan says to me and Mark who just nods. Once all four of us where our the airport we started to walk in the direction to the apartment. Me and Papa Tuan were walking together in front of Mark and Joey.

"So how've you been?" He continues to talk to me whilst Mark and Joey mess around and catch up behind us.

"Busy busy, but getting though it all" I laugh, I see him smile before he nudges me.
