DANIELS POV:

Officers were running in so many directions trying to get the three girls to ambulances, we were outside, out from that horrible dungeon place. I stood their frozen. I heard faint screaming from the guys and other people trying to get my attention and it wasn't until Zach came and shook me out of my trance, that I started really registering what was going on

"Where's kate!" I asked him. Then looking at Corbyn and Jonah.

"I think she's in that ambulance." Corbyn Said kind of loud over the sirens

"Jack go find aspen I'm going to find Emma, Corbyn Jonah find an Uber." Zach stated quickly. We all skedaddled off.

I chased after the stretcher that had Kate's lifeless body on it. They were about to close the door to the back of the ambulance.

"Hey wait! That's my girlfriend" I yelled at them before they closed the door.

That was a lie. She wasn't my girlfriend. But it would have to work because it was the only way they were letting me on the ambulance

"You are allowed one passenger, you coming?" The medic said.

I nodded and hopped on. Kate lied on the stretcher with an oxygen mask and IV. Tears were welling up looking at her. She looked sick and pale. She was gaunt and I wanted to hold her and makes things back to normal.

She probably still hates me.

But the only good news that I could think of, was that this was all over, crystal, her parents, the messages, all of it. Things could only progress. Maybe things would go back to normal. The relief of crystal being gone was a huge weight lift, but the price we paid was horrendous.

I just sat there only thinking about how completely helpless I am to Kate as she lied there possibly dying.

-skip to hospital

As the paramedics were rushing to get Kate to the operating room, with all the sirens and people running around I got lost in the crowd. I was frantically searching for someone I knew. I eventually found Zach and jack as they came running up to me.

"Did Kate go in surgery already?" Jack asked

"Yeah, I'm assuming they took aspen and Emma in too." I responded

"I don't think they will need surgery, their injuries aren't as severe." Zach added.

I sighed.

"I'm exhausted let's go in the waiting room, Corbyn and Jonah should be here shortly." I Said. They both nodded I was so anxious to see Kate and the girls. I wanted to make sure they were alright. I need them to be okay.

-hours later

Corbyn and Jonah showed up a long time ago. The sun was rising. All of us hadn't slept in over 24 hours. The doctor still hasn't come and said anything about progress. We were all in the waiting room on our phones or listening to music, I was trying to ignore the aching terrible gut feeling I had in my stomach. but we were ll afraid to go to sleep because we might miss something.

Time seemed to pass by so slowly. But soon enough we were approached by a tall guy.

"Are you the family of aspen loeffler and Emma Young?" the guy asked. I'm assuming he was the doctor.
